摘要: An aircraft seat assembly (12) is convertible between a first, narrower configuration of three seats (RA, RN, RW) and a second, widened seat configuration which adds an even increase in space between armrests (18, 22, 24). A seat assembly (12) includes a tube-in-tube support frame for the seats which allows the conversion to be accomplished by a simple sliding movement of the aisle and middle seat frames (RA, RM) toward and away from the window seat frame (RW) which is fixed in position. Movement of the aisle and middle seat frames (RA, RM) automatically centers the middle seat frame (RM) between the aisle and window seat frames (RA, RW) and automatically changes the position of the two inside armrests (22, 24) to provide even spacing therebetween. A lock mechanism (124, 130) locks the seat frame parts together, both in the first, narrower configuration and in the second, widened configuration. The lock mechanism is locked and unlocked by movement of a handle (H) located at the aisle end of the aisle seat (RA). A key lock (160) is provided to keep the lock mechanism (124, 130) locked to prevent unauthorized or unintended movements of the seat frames to convert the seat assembly (12).

摘要: An aircraft seat assembly (14) is convertible between three seats (LA, LM, LW) with a first seat width and two seats (LA, W) with a second wider seat width. The seat assembly includes a tube-in-tube support frame for the seats which allows the conversion to be accomplished by a simple sliding movement of the aisle and middle seat frames towards and away from the window seat frame which is fixed in position. Movement of the aisle and middle seat frames automatically changes the position of the two inside armrests (22, 24). The middle seat back frame (66) is vertically split into parts (66A, 66B). Movement of the seat frames from the three-seat configuration to the two-seat configuration disconnects seat back parts (66A, 66B) from each other and locks one part (66A) to the window seat back frame (64) and the other part (66B) to the aisle seat back frame (68). Movement of the seat frames in the opposite direction disconnects the parts (66A, 66B) from the window and aisle seat back frames ( 64, 68) and connects the two parts (66A, 66B) together to provide a unified seat back frame (66) for the middle seat (LM). A lock mechanism (124, 130) locks the seat frame parts together, both in the three-seat configuration and in the two-seat configuration. The lock mechanism is locked and unlocked by movement of a handle (H) located at the aisle end of the aisle seat (LA). A key lock (160) is provided to keep the lock mechanism (124, 130) locked in between authorized and intended movements of the seat frames to convert the seat assembly (14).

摘要: In accordance with the principles of the present invention an exercise device is provided that comprises an oscillating platform and a support platform. The oscillating platform is connected to the support platform by a support having a main axis and an oscillating platform axis extending at an angle from the main axis, such that the oscillating platform defines a plane that is non-parallel to a plane defined by the support platform. An oscillating platform stabilizer enables the free angular undulating movement of the oscillating platform. Inertia or momentum of the angular movement of the platform is provided, thereby providing a fluid and continuous change in the angular orientation of the platform.

摘要: An elliptical exercise device including a frame having a pivot axis, a foot link, a coupling, a swing arm, an engagement mechanism, and a guide system. The foot link has rearward, forward and foot support portions. The foot support portion has a central location. The coupling couples the rearward portion to the pivot axis so that the rearward portion of each foot link travels in a closed path relative to the pivot axis. The engagement mechanism has a first portion coupled to the swing arm and a second portion coupled to the foot link at a location rearward of the central location. The guide system supports the forward portion of the foot link along a preselected reciprocating path of travel as the rearward portion of the foot link travels along its path of travel. The guide system is selectably positionable in a plurality of different positions.

Each of the first and second foot links has a first link portion that moves along the track while pivoting. Each of the first and second front arms has a first arm portion pivotally coupled to one of the foot links and a second arm portion pivotally coupled one of the crank arms. In one embodiment, a disc rotates in response to movement of the first foot link along the track, wherein a magnet facing the disc forms an eddy brake.
