Abstract: A game apparatus and method played by throwing projectiles (such as darts) at a playing surface. The playing surface includes field markings that depict a sports field in perspective view. The playing surface also includes target markings that define offensive targets and defensive targets. The defensive targets resemble silhouettes of players involved in various action modes of a game. An active counter is provided for awarding score values according to factors such as time elapsed between when an offensive target is hit and a defensive target is hit.
