摘要： Input displays are provided. A representative input display comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a photo sensor, a color filter, and a light-shielding element. The liquid crystal layer accommodated in a liquid crystal space is sandwiched between transparent first and second substrates, comprising a first substrate side and a second substrate side. The photo sensor overlies the first substrate side. The color filter disposed in the liquid crystal space, over the photo sensor. The color filter comprises a first opening exposing portions of the photo sensor. The light-shielding element is disposed alongside portions of a periphery of the photo sensor.

The readout pixel includes the fundamental elements as the normal pixel, and further includes a photo sensing element with a second switching element and a third switching element for generating a photo signal. The second switching element includes a second gate electrode connecting to a gate line, a second drain electrode, and a second source electrode connecting to a readout line. The third switching element includes a third gate electrode and a third drain electrode both connecting to a reference voltage, and a third source electrode connecting to the second drain electrode.

摘要： The present invention provides a touch-input-integrated liquid crystal display panel having a pattern unit with a coding arrangement. The pattern unit with the coding arrangement is integrated into the panel by one of the three ways of (1) disposing the pattern unit on the polarizer, (2) disposing the pattern unit on the upper substrate of the panel corresponding to the black matrix, and (3) disposing the pattern unit on the upper substrate of the panel not limited to be corresponding to the black matrix, wherein the pattern unit is made of a denser optical medium or a less dense optical medium, the depth of the pattern unit multiplied the refractive index of the medium is about (N+¼)-folds of the wavelength of the infrared ray, and furthermore the pattern unit can also be multiple-layer structure, a single-layer cholesteric liquid crystalline film or a multiple-layer structure wherein at least one layer is made of a cholesteric liquid crystalline film.

The method includes steps of providing a first substrate, forming a mixture layer on the first substrate, providing a second substrate on the mixture layer and thereby a sandwich structure is formed, performing an orientation process on the sandwich structure, providing a mask having a code pattern thereon on one side of the sandwich structure, exposing the side of the sandwich structure to a UV light, removing the second substrate, and removing an unreacted part of the mixture layer.

A flexoelectric liquid crystal display has a first substrate, a second substrate parallel to the first substrate, a common electrode region, a pixel electrode region, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first and second substrates. The pixel electrode region is disposed on the second substrate and connected to the liquid crystal layer. Two electrical fields of equal magnitude in opposite directions are generated between the common and pixel electrode regions.
