The validation algorithm includes validating a size of the at least one data element, validating a hash of the at least one data element, and validating a signature of a hash file comprising information corresponding to the at least one data element.

摘要： In a system including a postage printing device and a data center, wherein the postage printing device and the data center have a first set of keys for use in requesting and downloading a plurality of postage data records from the data center for use in printing postal indicia, a method of securely transferring the postage printing device and any postage value stored therein from a first user to a second user. According to the method, a new set of keys for requesting and downloading postage data records is generated, any current postage value stored in the printer device is securely transferred to the second user using the new keys and some of the first set of keys, and the first set of keys is zeroed, thereby protecting the first user from any potential theft or fraud of postage funds on the part of the second user.

The method includes maintaining a secure coprocessor control list that includes information identifying one or more of the secure coprocessors, receiving the secure coprocessor control list and one of the transaction requests at one of the data centers, and providing the secure coprocessor control list and the transaction request to a particular secure coprocessor located at the data center. The method further includes allowing the particular secure coprocessor to fulfill the transaction request only if (i) the secure coprocessor control list is able be verified, (ii) the secure coprocessor control list is determined to be fresh, and (iii) information identifying the particular secure coprocessor is included in the information on the secure coprocessor control list.

摘要： The invention provides a system for removing or minimizing microphonic noise from a radiation detector signal, such as from a neutron detector, without creating excessive false counts in the electronics that count the radiation events. The system solves the microphonic noise problem using a 3-prong approach: (1) maintaining high dynamic range by avoiding large amplification and the possibility of saturation in the analog stages, (2) sampling the amplified analog signal using a high-resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and (3) implementing a digital filtering algorithm that rejects the noise due to microphonics while passing the signal of interest from the neutron interactions.

The method also includes generating a transport certificate comprising the transport public key signed by the manufacturing station private key, and storing the transport certificate in the postage printing device, after which the postage printing device is set to a transport lock state so that it can be securely transported. Also, a method of registering a postage printing device manufactured in this manner prior to operation of the postage printing device.
