Abstract: A treating packet for treating the inner surface of a rotatable drum in a laundry treating appliance comprises a chemical insert and a permeable pouch enveloping the chemical insert. The chemical insert in combination with the permeable pouch may apply a chemical and mechanical cleaning action sufficient to abrade a residue on the inner surface of the drum during rotation of the drum.
