Abstract: Provided are a compensation method for a display panel and a display device. The compensation method for a display panel includes: obtaining a first display grayscale obtained to be displayed in a to-be-displayed image by a first sub-pixel, and obtaining a first display data voltage corresponding to the first display grayscale; determining whether the first display data voltage is greater than a low brightness demarcation voltage; and if yes, obtaining a first compensation data voltage corresponding to the first sub-pixel according to the first display grayscale; and determining, according to a lighting voltage corresponding to the first sub-pixel, whether the first compensation data voltage is in a dark-state voltage range; and if yes, compensating the first sub-pixel by using the lighting voltage corresponding to the first sub-pixel, and if not, compensating the first sub-pixel by using the first compensation data voltage.

Abstract: A display drive method is applied to a display panel. The display panel has a subpixel used for image display. The display drive method includes obtaining a to-be-displayed grayscale of a to-be-displayed subpixel, selecting a suitable compensation manner based on the to-be-displayed grayscale, and providing a data voltage for the to-be-displayed sub-pixel based on the selected compensation manner. The compensation manner includes a first compensation manner and a second compensation manner. When the to-be-displayed grayscale is 0 grayscale, the first compensation manner is selected. When the to-be-displayed grayscale is greater than 0 grayscale, the second compensation manner is selected. The first compensation manner is used to reduce a difference between light-emitting efficiencies of sub-pixels with different light-emitting colors under a same grayscale.

Abstract: A device and a method for obtaining brightness of a display panel are provided. The display panel includes a flat area and a curved area and the curved areas including at least one first curved area. The device includes a brightness acquisition component; an optical path adjustment component; and a control component. Principle light exited from the flat area is incident on a first area of a viewfinder plane of the brightness acquisition component; the optical path adjustment component is disposed on an optical path of principle light exited from the first curved area, and configured to adjust the principle light to be incident on a second area of the viewfinder plane; the first area does not overlap with and the second area; and the control component is configured to process an image captured by the brightness acquisition component to obtain the brightness of the display panel.

The method includes searching, in a table of grayscale bit number judgment values, for a grayscale bit number judgment value corresponding to a sub-pixel to be compensated; determining a compensation grayscale value corresponding to the sub-pixel to be compensated by a first reading process if the grayscale bit number judgment value satisfies a grayscale bit number condition, and determining the compensation grayscale value corresponding to the sub-pixel to be compensated by a second reading process if the grayscale bit number judgment value does not satisfy the grayscale bit number condition.
