摘要： To be used with a chat client. A condition DB 3 associates prescribed conditions relating to a message to any channel with processing for such message, and stores this information. An acquisition unit 7, in accordance with a condition and processing, acquires information relating to a channel from a chat client. A determination unit 4, prior to the sending of a message into a channel, determines whether a message meets a condition based on the acquired channel information. An execution unit 5 carries out processing on a message based on determination results and condition, and sends the processed message into a channel via a chat client. An example of a condition is, that message is at least 30 lines or more. An example of processing is, confirming message with a user.

摘要： A communication support method system to ease make selection of a virtual space in a chat system. Category DB 22, which accumulates URLs and URL categories, is prepared. A URL said in a channel, its category, and the channel name are written to a URL table. The total sum of categories of URLs said in a channel becomes the channel characteristics. Channel characteristics are displayed in a window, etc. at an IRC client. After finding the total sum of URL categories, the weighting of URLs that conform to the chat contents should be immediately increased so that the channel characteristics better reflect the chat contents. For example, this includes increasing the weighting of URLs said by users who spend a long time in the channel or users who are active in sending messages. This also includes increasing the weighting of URLs which result in active chatting after the URL is said.

摘要： In an information exchange system in which a user terminal is connected to a network, the system is capable of transmitting and/or receiving messages via the network. A display area displaying messages transmitted and/or received can be increased with an increase in the number of networks connected, thereby causing the efficiency of processes due to reduction of the display area to deteriorate when such a display area is used simultaneously with other applications. The present invention reduces the display area by centralizing messages transmitted and/or received by each network, and displays these messages to an independent area on a time series basis. The system also enables transmission of messages to the network, to which the relevant message is transmitted, by identifying the message centralized for display. As a result, manipulation efficiency of the information exchange system is improved.

By having valid periods in the entries of the user data DB 14, it is possible to create a profile that reflects a user's current status. It is also possible to include rating data in the user data DB 14, along with the category. By processing messages within a channel based on the rating data and user's category, it is possible to make communications within a virtual space easier and more effective.

摘要： A text communication system is that reduces user's burden of typing text messages. An acting device is provided with a dictionary containing rules regarding conversion of text messages, with the dictionary corresponding to one or more communication devices or a user. A command that specifies whether the text message should be converted or not is sent from the communication device via the acting device. Text messages are converted according to the command. It is also possible to configure conversion mode in advance, with the conversion mode corresponding to each communication device, and convert text messages sent and received via the acting device. A user can use the same dictionary from different information devices. There is also less burden of typing text messages. It is even more preferable if the dictionary can be updated automatically according to text messages inputted at the communication terminals, since the user's burden of updating dictionaries is also relieved in this way.
