    摘要: The present invention provides a toner having a releasing agent, a binder resin and a colorant. The binder resin is contained in a form of particles, surfaces of which have 1.2 times or greater amount of a polar group-containing compound, or of a cross-linked compound, than insides thereof. A viscosity of the releasing agent, as determined by using a type-E viscometer provided with a cone plate having a cone angle of 1.34 degrees at 140° C., is 1.5 to 5.0 mPa·S. The present invention further provides a developer containing a carrier and the toner. The present invention further provides an image forming method that utilizes the developer.

    摘要: The present invention provides a toner having a releasing agent, a binder resin and a colorant. The binder resin is contained in a form of particles, surfaces of which have 1.2 times or greater amount of a polar group-containing compound, or of a cross-linked compound, than insides thereof. A viscosity of the releasing agent, as determined by using a type-E viscometer provided with a cone plate having a cone angle of 1.34 degrees at 140° C., is 1.5 to 5.0 mPa·S. The present invention further provides a developer containing a carrier and the toner. The present invention further provides an image forming method that utilizes the developer.

The releasing agent satisfies the following equations (1) and (2): 0.1≦η*a≦1.0  (1) 1.1≦η*b/η*a≦3.5  (2)wherein η*a represents a complex viscosity (Pa·s) determined from a first dynamic viscoelasticity measurement at a measuring frequency of the releasing agent of 6.28 rad/s, η*b represents a complex viscosity (Pa·) determined from a second dynamic viscoelasticity measurement at a measuring frequency of the releasing agent of 62.8 rad/s, and each of the first and second dynamic viscoelasticities is measured in a temperature range from a temperature that is 15° C. lower than the melting point of the releasing agent to a temperature that is 15° C. higher than the melting point of the releasing agent.

The toner for developing an electrostatic image contains a binder resin, a colorant and an inorganic metallic salt, and an amount of a toluene insoluble component (provided that the colorant, a releasing agent and inorganic and organic insoluble particles are excluded therefrom) is from 0.5 to 10% by weight. The developer for an electrostatic image and the process for forming an image use the toner for developing an electrostatic image.
