An image search method and system using face detection, begins with receiving a query submitted by a user. Next a query word is searched in the query from an image resource using an image search engine to obtain an initial image collection. Any faces are detected in each image in the initial image collection which has been searched. A search for the query word in a text surrounding each image having the face in the initial image collection is performed. A determination is made whether the query word indicates at least one person's name in the surrounding text matching the query word. An image an image in the initial image collection is returned to a user in which the face is included and the query word in the surrounding text indicates the person's name.

The method includes the steps of: receiving a sample page; analyzing a source code of the sample page to obtain a node feature of the sample page; analyzing the node feature using a preset rule to find a sample advertisement in the sample page; analyzing a first link of the sample advertisement to obtain a link mode of the sample advertisement; and utilizing the link mode to identify a second advertisement, where at least one of the steps is carried out using a computer device so that the advertisement in a web page is identified.

The present device can search and locate more implicit opinions as supplementary opinions by detecting impact relations from a plurality of opinions, and help users interested in different objects obtain more comprehensive comments and summaries.

A computer-implemented method and system for checking a chemical name. The method tokenizes the chemical name to obtain corresponding tokens; checks the chemical name according to the chemical association between chemical compositions represented by the tokens; and if the chemical name does not pass the check, replaces at least part of tokens of the chemical name that does not pass the check, and repeats the checking step. The system and method can not only help users to find and correct errors in spelling a chemical name but also check the entire chemical name at the level of chemical associations. Hence, not only chemical names that are incorrectly spelled but also ones that do not conform to chemical rules can be found, and significant help is provided to users for correcting chemical names.
