摘要: A receptacle of an electrical-optical hybrid connector including a plug having an insertion fitting part and the receptacle having a housing space that receives the insertion fitting part includes an optical connection part disposed in a space in communication with the housing space, and an electrical connection part disposed in front of the optical connection part, a shutter that is opened when the receptacle and the plug are connected to each other is provided in front of the optical connection part of the receptacle, and the optical connection part of the receptacle moves forward in association with the shutter when the shutter is opened, and moves rearward in association with the shutter when the shutter is closed.

摘要: Provided is an optical connector whose miniaturization is easier than conventional. An optical connector (100) comprises a housing (103) holding an optical member (101), a slider (105) slidably held by the housing (103), a shutter (107) provided to the slider (105) in an openable and closable manner and adapted to be opened and closed to expose and isolate the optical member (101) to and from the outside, and slider-side coil springs (109) pushing the slider (105) in a direction away from the housing (103). The slider-side coil springs (109) are disposed in a width direction of the shutter (107). The optical connector (100) is configured such that the shutter (107) is closed when the slider (105) is moved by an elastic force of the slider-side coil springs (109) in the direction (direction A1) away from the housing (103) and that the shutter (107) is opened when the slider (105) is moved against the elastic force of the slider-side coil springs (109) in a direction approaching the housing (103).

摘要: In an optical connector, end faces of a pair of ferrules that hold multiple optical fibers are positioned with two guide pins and butted against each other to connect the optical fibers in the pair of ferrules. The optical connector is provided with an urging member for pushing the end faces against each other. The end faces are ground at an angle. The gap between the guide pins and guide holes, which open at the end faces and into which the guide pins are fitted, is larger than 0.004 mm and smaller than or equal to 0.008 mm. Powder caused by the friction generated when the guide pins are inserted and fitted into the guide holes is greatly reduced. Connection loss does not increase even when frequent connection and disconnection are performed, and cleaning the connector becomes unnecessary.

摘要: An adapter system has a standard adapter configured to couple two first type connectors with each other, and an interface converter configured to be attached to the standard adapter. Each of the first type connectors has a first connection end. The first connection end is formed with two engaged portions. The standard adapter has two first openings on opposite sides thereof in a first direction and two engaging portions within each of the first openings. The first opening has a first interface for the first connection end. The two engaged portions of the first type connector oppose with each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The two engaged portions of the first type connector is engaged with the engaging portions of the first opening, so that the standard adapter retains the first connection end when the first type connector is inserted in the first opening. An interface converter is configured to be attached inside the first opening so as to convert the first opening to a second opening having a second interface for a second connection end of a second type connector. The second connection end is different in shape from the first connection end. The interface converter has two receptacles which are receivable the engaging portions of the standard adapter, respectively, when the interface converter is attached to the standard adapter.
