摘要： The present invention provides a sheet binding apparatus for effecting stapling operation by rotation of a motor including a current measuring device for measuring a current of the motor, a first timing output device for defining the timing of the stapling operation, a second timing output device for effecting the output at a different timing from an output timing of the first timing output device, a calculation device for measuring outputs of the current measuring device in response to signals from the first and second timing output devices to seek the difference between the measured values, a base current measuring device capable of setting a current value in advance on which the judgement of the presence/absence of a needle is based, and a discriminating device for comparing an output value from the calculation device with a set value of the base current value setting device to judge the presence/absence of the needle.

摘要： A sheet sorting apparatus includes a plurality of trays for accommodating sheets; a helical cam device, engageable with a cam follower for moving the plurality of trays; a cam driving device for driving the helical cam device; a sheet set processing device movable between processing position and a retracted position where the processing device doe snot interfere with the plurality of trays; a reversible driving device for advancing or retracting the sheet set processing device; and a controlling device for controlling the driving device; wherein a cam surface of the helical cam is constituted of substantially horizontal portions and slanted portions; and the cam driving device and the driving device are controlled by the controlling device, in such a manner that the sheet set processing device starts to enter a processing position when the cam follower shifts from the slanted portions to the horizontal portions, and the entering operation ends by the time the cam follower reaches the middle portion of the horizontal portion, and that the cam driving device is deactivated when the cam follower is substantially at a middle portion of the horizontal portions, and after sheet set processing, the cam driving device and the driving device are actuated, and the sheet set processing device is retracted from a moving path region of the tray by the time the cam follower passes through the remaining portion of the horizontal portions.

摘要： A sheet original feeding apparatus comprises a sheet original stacking tray on which sheet originals to be treated are stacked as an original stack. A sheet original separator separates and supplies the sheet original one by one from the bottom of the original stack stacked on the sheet original stacking tray. A sheet original feeding path is provided for directing the sheet original separated by the sheet original separator. A sheet original feeder feeds in a forward direction the sheet original directed by the original feeding path to an image reading portion. The sheet original feeding means is also operable in a reverse direction, and the sheet original feeding path is arranged at one side of the sheet original feeder. A first sheet original ejecting path is further provided for returning the sheet original fed in the reverse direction by the sheet original feeder to the sheet original stacking tray from a same side of the sheet original feeder as the sheet original feeding path. A second sheet original ejecting path returns the sheet original fed in the forward direction by the sheet original feeder to the sheet original stacking tray. The second sheet original ejection path is arranged at a side opposite to the sheet original feeder means as the sheet original feeding path.
