Abstract: A method for cross read mitigation in a monitoring station for vehicles carrying respective wireless tags having tag identifiers includes: receiving, from a first tag sensor disposed to detect wireless tag signals in a first lane of the monitoring station, a first tag read containing a tag identifier; receiving, from a second tag sensor disposed to detect further wireless tag signals in a second lane, adjacent to the first lane, of the monitoring station, a second tag read containing the tag identifier; in response to receiving the first and second tag reads, providing an updated tag detection parameter to each of the first and second tag sensors; receiving, from one of the first and second tag sensors, a third tag read containing the tag identifier; and in response to receiving the third tag read, instructing the one of the first and second tag sensors to report the tag identifier to a monitoring server.

Abstract: The disclosure is a system comprising a transceiver array, containing at least a first pair of transceivers and a second pair of transceivers, the first pair of transceivers containing a transceiver that is included in the second pair of transceivers. Each transceiver in a pair is configured to monitor a plurality of zones for RFID tags, transmit information related to the monitoring of a portion the plurality of zones for RFID tags to the other transceiver in the pair, and determine a location of a monitored RFID tag based on the information acquired through the monitoring of the plurality of zones and the information received from the other transceiver in the first or second pair.

Abstract: Techniques for eliminating RFID cross-reads for RFID point of sale scanners using imager object tracking are disclosed herein. An example method includes measuring, by an imager a series of displacements of an object from a center of the field of view (FOV) of the imager, over a timeframe; measuring, by an RFID reader, a series of received signal strengths for an RFID tag over the same timeframe; comparing the series of displacements to the series of received signal strengths over the timeframe to determine a measure of similarity between the series of displacements of the object from the center of the FOV of the imager and the series of received signal strengths for the RFID tag over the timeframe; and responsive to the measure of similarity exceeding a threshold measure of similarity, adding a record associated with the RFID tag to a transaction log.

Abstract: A barcode reader for detecting a printing anomaly is described herein. The barcode reader may receive read data associated with a read operation involving a barcode reader and a barcode. The barcode reader may process, using an anomaly detection model, the read data to determine an anomaly status associated with the barcode being printed by a printer. The anomaly detection model may be trained based on reference decoding metric information associated with corresponding reference images that depict barcodes associated with one or more printing anomalies. The barcode reader may determine, based on the anomaly status, a printer status associated with the printer. The barcode reader may provide an indication of the printer status.

Abstract: Methods for accurate object tracking are disclosed herein. An example the method includes receiving, from a first optical imaging assembly having a first field of view (FOV), a first image captured over the first FOV and based on a decode of an indicia associated with an object of interest, identifying the object of interest within the first image. The method further includes determining a location of the object of interest within the first image and mapping the location of the object of interest within the first image to a predicted location of the object of interest within a second image, the second image being received from a second optical imaging assembly having a second FOV and the second image being captured over the second FOV.
