摘要： The modular furniture system, particularly for offices, comprises at least one column-like upright element having a vertically elongate body and a plurality of fixtures which can be coupled selectively to the two ends and to the body of the upright to form a furniture arrangement. The vertical positions of the fixtures coupled to the body of tile upright can be adjusted continuously to achieve different heights for components such as work surfaces, shelves, suspended units, screens, lighting equipment and the like. The upright is self-supporting and permits multiple connection of fixtures which are independent of one another.

摘要： A column and a plurality of support members having radially extending arm and/or foot portions, having an inner end portion shaped as a sector of a cylinder with an axial Morse tapered hole, and adapted to be received in the inside of the hollow end portion of the column. A bolt is screwed in an axial threaded hole of a Morse tapered body made of metal, and with its head resting on the upper ends of said sector-like portions of the arm or foot members or on the lower ends of the sector-like portions of the foot members. The body is presented from rotary movement with respect to the arm or foot members and is permitted mutual axial movement with respect thereto to pressure the supports against the column.

摘要： An arm support member for chairs or seats provided with an arm rest frame connected to said arm support member by a hinge mechanism. The arm rest frame is swung under the effect of a first spring into a vertical position, by a rotation about a horizontal axis parallel to and spaced apart from the longitudinal center plane (A-A) of the arm support member. The hinge mechanism also enables the arm rest frame to perform a sliding movement parallely to the hinge axis against the effect of a second spring only when the frame is in its raised position. Locking means is provided to hold the arm rest in both positions.

摘要： A device for adjusting the height of the seat of an arm-chair and the like having a vertical hollow shaft fixed to the seat and telescopically received into a hollow base column and comprising a coaxial rod slidably received into said hollow shaft, on the upper end of which acts a control lever, said hollow shaft having an outer diameter smaller than the inner one of said column which at its upper part is provided with an inner bushing to support and guide said shaft while at its lower portion it carries a plug-like member having a conical outer surface and through which passes said rod, at the lower end of which is mounted a coaxial cylindric bowl having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of said column and in which is arranged a crown of at least three radial holes to house small metal balls so that through said holes said balls can partially project outwardly, a first helical spring being mounted between said bowl and said plug member, while a second helical spring is mounted between an intermediate collar of said rod and the upper end of the plug member, said conical outer surface having its largest and smallest diameters such as to permit that this member in different axial positions with regard to the ball crown moves said balls towards the outside of the bowl into engagement with said column or vice versa, while a third spring is mounted to return the control lever to its inoperative position the shaft.
