摘要： Disclosed is a rigid polymer foam board suitable for use in a foundation insulation system. The foam board has a face defining a plurality of grooves therein which traverse in a crossing, diagonal configuration. The groove configuration facilitates the application of insecticides/termiticides in foundation insulation systems employing rigid foam boards on the exterior of the foundation.

摘要： Substituted 2-haloanilines are prepared from the correspondingly substituted 2,4-dichloro- or 2,4-dibromoanilines by selectively reducing a chloro or bromo substituent para to a protected amino group in the presence of the same halogen as an ortho substituent. The selective reductions are accomplished by protecting the amino function of the aniline with two protecting groups, e.g., as the diacetanilide or the succinimide.

摘要： 5-Methyl-N-(aryl)-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidine-2-sulfonamides are prepared by the cyclization of N -(3-(((aryl)amino)sulfonyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)amines with 4-methoxy-3-butene-2-one or its synthetic equivalents in the presence of an aqueous base. By controlling the pH of the condensation between 8.5 and 10.5, by-product formation can be substantially reduced.

摘要： A reusable carrier for plastic containers is disclosed which includes a bent wire base of suitable dimensions and configuration to fit about and secure upon the bottom bead of the plastic container. A pivotal latch is provided to alternately secure and release the carrier base from association with the base bead of the container. An upper lifter is removably insertable into the finger space defined by the container handle to engage the plastic container handle in a releasable manner. First and second flexible carrying straps are affixed respectively to the upper lifter and to the carrier base to permit a filler container to be readily lifted and carried upon the back of the operator. The carrier base and carrier lifter are preferably formed of bent and welded wire components to minimize both the weight of the carrier and the fabrication costs.
