The systems disclosed herein receive pages of documents, automatically group the pages to identify documents in a legal matter, and automatically update a status of the legal matter based on the identified documents. This is achieved by one or more of receiving a file which contains one or more pages, grouping the pages, determining a document type for each group, obtaining a plurality of phases for a legal matter, assigning a phase to each group, and organizing the groups based on the assigned phase for each group.

摘要： A system and method of employing a computing device to present a graphical user interface (GUI) with a legal matter status bar and to enable a user to share the status bar with other users. A status bar is generated to include a representation of each phase of a legal matter, the phases represent a chronological order of event groupings throughout the legal matter. A user requests to share the status bar with another user. A portfolio of events associated with the status bar is copied and shared with the other user. The other user is granted or assigned editing authority or read-only authority based on the share request. Moreover, the sharing user may also maintain or relinquish editing authority, or the sharing user may be assigned read-only authority once the status bar is shared.

A file having a plurality of legal documents associated with the portfolio is obtained. The legal documents are extracted from the file using an artificial intelligence model. A name is automatically selected for each respective extracted legal document based on a match between keywords in the document and a list of known legal document names. An event is automatically generated for each document based on the name of the document and data within the document. The portfolio is updated with the plurality of extracted legal documents and the generated events and the plurality of extracted legal documents and the generated events are presented to a user.
