摘要: Since each covering portion (each side frame) is interposed between a first leg portion and a second leg portion of a corresponding one of insert members, even if a relatively large load is applied to side portions of a cushion pad from an occupant, it is possible to restrict deformation of the side portions toward outer sides in left-right directions (rotation of the insert members) by engagement of each support frame with the first and second leg portions. Therefore, it is possible to improve the ability to support an occupant by the side portions.

摘要: To provide a technique that enables the reduction of fatigue of a vehicle occupant at low cost and without an increase in the number of parts. Without preparing a sensor in addition to a posture changing mechanism, the position of a lumbar vertebra or thoracic vertebra of each vehicle occupant is estimated by controlling the operation of the posture changing mechanism. The posture changing mechanism includes: a back side support mechanism; a first motor capable of shifting a position of the back side support mechanism with respect to a vertical direction; and a second motor capable of shifting the position of the back side support member with respect to a front-back direction. A position of a lumbar vertebra of the vehicle occupant is estimated by: while changing the vertical position of the back side support mechanism by means of the first motor, changing a forward position of the back side support mechanism at each of the different vertical positions thereof by means of the second motor so as to obtain a turnover number value of the second motor achieving a desired resistance; and comparing the turnover number values of the second motor achieving the desired resistance. A position of the thoracic vertebra is determined by calculation based on the position of the lumbar vertebra. The position of the posture changing mechanism is set based on the results of estimation of the individual positions. Thus, a fatigue reduction effect is provided on the vehicle occupant by utilizing the posture changing mechanism.

As a result, the first member (50) of the seat back (30) is prevented from being deformed at the longitudinal end of the center bead (52).

摘要: A vehicle seat has a seating part and a seat back. The seating part and the seat back define a gap therebetween and the gap is formed on the front face of the vehicle seat. A recessed opening is formed on the front face of the vehicle seat on a side of the seating part relative to the gap, and the recessed opening has an anchor to which a child safety seat is anchored. The vehicle seat has a flat, plate-like cover member that is provided on the front face of the vehicle seat and is capable of covering the opening. The cover member has a base-end portion fixed to the vehicle seat and a free-end portion that is not fixed to the vehicle seat and can be freely inserted into the gap. A hard plate is provided in the free-end portion of the cover member.

The lock plate is held by the movable rail, and is displaceable between a locking position where the lock plate engages with the fixed rail and a non-locking position where the engagement is released.
