摘要： A toothed crushing disk for a grain processor includes teeth having a trailing tooth flank, which is a so-called tooth back, and a leading tooth flank, which is a so-called tooth face, on the surface of the teeth. The teeth have a wear protection zone in the region of the tooth back which is continuous or is divided into partial zones and has a wear resistance which is greater than that of the material of a base member of the toothed crushing disk. The base member has a tooth structure which determines the shape of the teeth and the wear protection zone is produced by using a high-energy beam method with the geometry of the tooth structure being substantially maintained. A method for producing a toothed crushing disk for a grain processor having teeth on the surface thereof is also provided.

摘要： A swather with a crop cutting header includes a swath roller for rolling on the swath carried on a mounting assembly attached to the tractor frame and a lifting assembly for lifting the roller free from the swath where a control unit is arranged to lift the swath roller to the raised position thereof when the header is raised to the raised position thereof. The control unit also includes a GPS position sensing system so that the roller is lifted at positions determined by the GPS position sensing system. The mounting assembly comprises a mounting frame rigidly attached to the rear walking beam of the tractor so that the mounting frame is held at a set position relative to the tractor determined by a position of the beam so that the swath roller is not pivotally mounted relative to the tractor.

摘要： A header designed for tall crops includes a sickle knife for cutting at the ground, an auger behind the knife, a conditioning system at a discharge for forming a swath and a reel with pivotal bat fingers controlled by a linkage which co-operates with a cam of the reel. An upper auger extends across the header parallel to the cutter knife above and in advance of the reel with its flight driving the crop inwardly. Vertically standing sickle knifes extend between the ends of the frame and the upper auger and each includes forwardly extending top and bottom dividers. The conditioning system includes two fluted rollers and a third parallel roller located behind the nip between the fluted rollers so as to engage the material as it emerges from the nip to force the material round the upper roller to further bend the crop material.

摘要： A conditioner roll tread pattern comprising a plurality of equally circumferentially spaced ribs separated by grooves extending across the axial length of the conditioner roll. The ribs are angled relative to the axial centerline, either with a fixed positive/negative angle or a continuously varying angle alternating between positive and negative extremes. The conditioner roll is configured to work in conjunction with a paralley disposed roll of similar tread pattern configuration, reversed end-for-end so that the ribs of one roll intermesh with the grooves of the adjacent roll. The location of the transition points at which the angle reverses along the axial length are coordinated with the transverse locations of converging and diverging crop flows being discharged from a forwardly disposed rotary disc cutterbar in a manner that results in a crop mat having more uniform thickness being discharged from the conditioner.

摘要： A swath roller is attached to a tractor and includes a first frame with two arms each independently connected to the tractor on an adjustable bracket allowing at least up and down movement of the arm relative to its bracket and a transverse bean across the arms. A second frame carries the roller and is supported on a pair of castor wheels spaced outwardly to respective sides of the roller. The second frame includes a front beam connected to the first frame by a center pivot so as to allow side to side pivotal movement of the second frame and two force transmitting members spaced outwardly of the pivot. Conversion to transport is provided by adding a hitch at one end of the frame and an additional wheel behind the roller at the opposite end and by locking one or more of the wheels against castoring.

摘要： An improved crop conveying drum for a drive disc cutter mounted directly to the drive shaft mechanism providing rotational power to the cutterbar. The crop conveying drum includes a pair of mating segments, each forming a half of the drum. Each segment is formed from a single piece of plate material and stamped into the desired curvilinear configuration. A central mounting portion of each segment is contoured to match the drive shaft mechanism and allow connection thereto. Holes in the central mounting portion allow insertion fasteners to connect the drum segments directly to the drive shaft mechanism so that the crop conveying drum rotates in unison with the drive shaft. By forming the drum segments from a single plate of material, material characteristics can be more easily selected or more quickly modified compared to the fabricated weldments known in the art.
