    摘要: An apparatus for constructing trellis systems, particularly for fruit vines. An apparatus may include a vertical post with a slot for slidably receiving a horizontal crossarm. In certain embodiments, an apparatus may include a vertical post, a horizontal crossarm, and a pair of diagonal crossarms. A vertical post may have slots for slidably receiving a horizontal crossarm and diagonal crossarms. A horizontal crossarm may also have slots for slidably receiving diagonal crossarms. Wire notches may be formed into a vertical post, horizontal crossarm, and/or a diagonal crossarm for attachment to a second apparatus or another stationary object, or for anchoring an apparatus to the ground. The present invention allows for a trellis system which is quickly and easily assembled, and highly durable.

    摘要: A heated spray system for frost protection and prevention is described. Heated water, such as groundwater, is delivered through a spray system to the area surrounding the irrigated crops, thus increasing the temperature near the crops and preventing frost damage. Surface water is provided, by a drip irrigation line. The crops are protected from excessive irrigation with the addition of protective covers, a protective curtain, and a drainage system. When spraying groundwater for temperature control, the covers, curtain, and drainage system prevent the water from reaching the roots of the crops, and thus prevent the groundwater from damaging the roots due to contaminants and pollutants in the groundwater.

The trellis includes a first half assembly, a second half assembly, and a locking mechanism.     摘要: A trellis wire support apparatus and a trellis system and method for use in vineyards and the like. The trellis wire support comprises a body having at least one a fold configured to releasibly engage a corresponding slot in a support element, and at least one clip or hook configured to releasibly engage a trellis wire. The trellis systems comprise at least one support element having a slot therein, and at least one trellis wire support comprising at least one clip configured to releasibly engage a trellis wire and a fold configured to releasibly engage the slot in the support element. The trellis system may additionally comprise a cross arm, with the support element configured to couple to the cross arm. The cross arm may include parallel ridges extending along its length, and the support element may have notches adjacent each end thereof that are configured to engage the ridges on the cross arm. The trellis system may support multiple trellis wires in multiple positions depending upon the particular vigor of the plant, vine or tree by nature of soil conditions, climate, root stock, variety or other factor.
