    摘要： The present invention relates generally to the field of nail devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a fingertip-covering device that is comprised of a fingertip-shaped body that has a first end with a continuous opening and a second end with a continuous opening. In differing embodiments, the body may be manufactured from a plastic or rubber material that may be flexible, semi-flexible or rigid. The body further has a first end that has a continuous opening that allows a user to insert a fingertip into the device and a second end further comprised of a top surface that exposes the nail of the user. In this manner, all other skin portions of the fingertip of the user are covered with the exception of the nail. Therefore, the nail can then be decorated while the skin area around the nail is protected from overspray.

Each arm includes a rigid blade end that defines a profile that operationally fits over a fingernail at an angle of incidence for masking an area of the fingernail during painting, or for scoring semi-hardened paint and scraping off excess paint. Angle of incidence is preferably acute, obtuse or right. Each blade end preferably operationally fits over a uniquely corresponding relatively small range of fingernail sizes. The end blades are disposed in order in a direction around the body, the order being progressively larger range sizes. A mark on each end blade is used for aligning the end blade with a longitudinal axis of a fingernail.

    摘要： A nail styling device provides for applying a lacquer to a nail of a digit. A cuticle guard and a tip guard protect the cuticle and skin to the sides of and under the distal edge of the nail. A mold plate has a curved inner surface corresponding to a curvature of the nail and is attached to the cuticle guard by a joint. A base adjustably fixable to the cuticle guard allows for the device to be removably fixable to a distal portion of the digit. A method of using the device provides for first applying a lacquer to an inner surface of the mold plate and, with the device locked in place on the digit, rotation of the mold plate to bring the lacquer into contact with a top portion of the nail.
