    Abstract: A garlic clove peeler comprising a housing formed with a clove receiving compartment and with a friction wall and a balloon-like complimentary peeling element made of resilient material and having a shaft that has a rotational axis and that removably connects to the housing. The peeling element being formed with a peeler surface extending adjacent the friction wall and resiliently biased in a direction facing the friction wall wherein the friction wall and the peeler surface are concentric with respect to the rotational axis of the shaft. A displacement mechanism is provided for rotating one or both of the friction wall and the peeling element about the rotational axis, wherein a gap extends between the peeler surface and the friction wall, and wherein the gap is sized so as to snugly receive one or More garlic cloves and to allow the cloves to be carried around in the gap while maintaining contact with said peeler surface on one side and with the friction wall on the other side during the operation of the displacement mechanism and to be peeled without being bruised, and wherein the peeling element retains its shape.

    Abstract: An electrically powered apparatus for peeling vegetables and fruits having a handle housing containing a rotary electric motor with a rotatable output shaft, the output shaft being accessible from a distal end of the housing and a battery power source contained within the handle housing. A manually operable switch is mounted on the housing to operate the motor. A rotatable flexible peeler assembly is detachably connected to the output shaft for rotation by the shaft, with the flexible peeler assembly comprising a plurality of flexible blade members mounted to a cylindrical support base member and a cutting tip mounted to distal end of the support base member. Each flexible blade member is formed with a base portion which is mounted in the support base member and defines a plurality of transverse slits which extend away from the base portion to the outer edge of the blade member to form a plurality of flexible abrasive strips. A shield member is removably mounted to the handle housing, the shield defining an open lower section exposing the abrasive flexible strip and an open distal end through which the cutting tip extends.

    Abstract: A peeling machine for peeling fruits and vegetables comprising a cutter disc having in its center a boss for mounting the disc to a driving shaft and having a plurality of apertures arranged substantially radially and open into clearances arranged at the periphery of the plate, each said aperture being bounded on its rear side relative to the rotation of the plate by a cutter blade with a sharp edge.
