Abstract:
A tub or shower surround kit, system, and method are disclosed. An example system for constructing a tub surround, shower surround, and wall covering includes a plurality of components including at least one panel, at least one edge component, and at least one interconnecting component. The example system also includes a tongue or lip of a first of the plurality of components configured to fit into a groove of a second of the plurality of components. The example system also includes a tongue or lip of the second of the plurality of components to fit into a groove of the first of the plurality of components. Any number of the plurality of components are connected adjacent a desired wall geometry to provide an assembled version of the tub surround, shower surround, and wall covering.
Abstract:
A shower enclosure comprises a plurality of prefabricated panels that are arranged to at least partially surround a space for bathing. At least one of the panels is a layered structure having a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first layer forms an interior surface of the shower enclosure exposed to the space for bathing. The third layer is arranged between the first layer and the second layer, and is coupled to the first layer and the second layer. The layered structure is a sandwich structured composite comprising the first layer, second layer, and third layer.
Abstract:
An automated human washing system includes an enclosure having a base, a midsection, and a top cap. The enclosure has a front door. The system includes liquid dispensing tubes having openings for introducing liquid into the enclosure, and cleaning brushes having lower ends secured to the base. The liquid dispensing tubes are spaced from one another are surround the cleaning brushes. The system has a top cap including first and second top lids. The system has a main water faucet for introducing water into the upper end of the enclosure, a drain for removing liquid from the enclosure, a first engine for pumping liquid through the liquid dispensing tubes into the enclosure, a second engine for moving the elongated cleaning brushes over a top surface of the base, and a control system for operating the human washing system.
Abstract:
A two parts shower/hair and body care dryer system that is contained within one installation unit. The shower and drying units are enclosed with durable glass wall and separated with bi-fold glass shower doors between the shower and the drying room. These doors are fold on the wall after showering by the user to access the drying room and to exist the unit. It is uniquely designed for everyone including the physically challenged. Imagine, after showering, having the pleasure of heated flooring in a drying room and a quiet flow of warm air from a built in over head dryer that blows radiating heat, covering ones body from head to toe. The dryer has many air vents that make the drying experience quicker, comforting and relaxing as the user is blown dry, which is un-achievable with the use of towels. The over head dryer also has a detachable hand held dryer for added convenience. The bi-fold glass shower doors decrease the size of the shower room when in use, and increase its size when the dryer is being used.
Abstract:
A shower apparatus includes a ceiling mounting assembly and a plurality of tensioning lines; and a framework and arrangement of sprayers suspended thereby. The ceiling mounting assembly includes a spool in engagement with the tension lines such that winding of the spool in a first rotational direction results retraction of the tensioning lines into the ceiling mounting assembly and raising of the suspended assembly, and unwinding of the spool in a second, opposite rotational direction results in extension of the tensioning lines out of the ceiling mounting assembly and lowering of the suspended assembly. The ceiling mounting assembly further includes a spring that biases rotation of the spool; and the ceiling mounting assembly defines an opening through which access to the exposed end of the spool is provided for winding and unwinding of the spool by a person standing under the ceiling mounting assembly.
Abstract:
A method for installing a wall jamb for a shower door panel of a showering enclosure includes placing a wall jamb on a shower door panel, the wall jamb having a plurality of legs configured to receive the shower door panel therebetween, a base connecting the plurality of legs such that the wall jamb is generally U-shaped, and a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed at an exterior surface of the base, removing at least a portion of adhesive backing material of the pressure sensitive adhesive, and pushing the shower door panel toward a wall of the showering enclosure such that the pressure sensitive adhesive adheres to the wall of the showering enclosure.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for creating a shower or bath enclosure, in which, given a predetermined area in which to create the shower or bath, a given prefabricated water proof bath or shower floor module is too small to occupy the entire available enclosure space. The apparatus includes the use of one or more additional enclosure components, such as one or more shower benches, to occupy a space between an edge or edges of the floor module and the exterior boundary(ies) of the enclosure space.
Abstract:
A wall jamb for a showering enclosure includes a plurality of legs configured to receive the shower door panel therebetween, a base connecting the plurality of legs such that the wall jamb is generally U-shaped, and a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed at an exterior surface of the base. The pressure sensitive adhesive is configured to adhere to a wall of the showering enclosure. The plurality of legs and the base are formed of a resilient material.
Abstract:
The system for installing shower walls includes a pressure transfer member for urging a shower wall against a back up support during bonding of the shower wall to the support. An adjustable force development device engages the pressure transfer member to force the pressure transfer member against the shower wall. A support member engages the pressure transfer member when the force development device exerts a predetermined force against the shower wall. A fixation device holds the support member to maintain the pressure transfer position of the pressure transfer member. The fixation device includes a cam that moves a shower wall into a tight corner fit with an adjacent shower wall.
