摘要： Ice skateboards, ice skateboard conversion kits, and methods for converting a skateboard to an ice skateboard are presented. An ice skateboard or an ice skateboard conversion kit may include four blades. Each blade may include an elongate sharp lower edge and an opening for pivotally mounting the blade on one of four skateboard axle ends. Eight spacer bushings each may include a bore for pivotally mounting the spacer bushing on one of the axle ends. Lengths of two of the spacer bushings may be configured to dispose at least one of the blades along a middle third of one of the axle ends when the blade is pivotally mounted to the axle end between the two spacer bushings.

摘要： In one embodiment, an iceboard includes a plank having a first end and a second end and a first side and a second side. One or more supports are coupled to the first side of the plank and, one or more blades are coupled to the one or more supports, the blades operable to glide across an icy surface. The iceboard further includes a piece of frictional material coupled to the second side of the plank and operable to provide traction relative to the plank. The iceboard further includes a brake coupled to the first side of the plank adjacent a first end of the plank. In particular embodiments, the brake is operable to abrasively scrape the icy surface when applied to the icy surface.

The trucks include rotatable yokes having axles. A set of first runners is disposed over the first yoke axle. A set of second runners is disposed over the second yoke axle. A first biasing mount is mounted in each of the first runners and disposed over the first axle. The first biasing mounts each have first biasing members configured to bias in a torsional direction relative to the first truck axle. A second biasing mount is mounted in each of the second runners and is disposed over the second axle. The second biasing mounts each have second biasing members configured to bias in a torsional direction relative to the second axle.

摘要： A improvement to a snow scooter having a longitudinal axis, a stand-on area, a back portion rearward of the stand-on area, a handle, and at least one gliding surface having a flat portion defining a plane. The improvement includes a brake plate, operable with a foot of a rider, mounted at an aft end of the scooter. The brake plate is oriented transverse to the longitudinal axis, and is affixed to the scooter with a pivot transverse to the longitudinal axis in the back portion rearward of the stand-on area. Further, the brake plate is retained above the plane of the flat portion of the gliding surface by a spring until depressed with a force that overcomes the spring allowing the brake plate to pivot downwardly to protrude below the plane of the flat portion of the gliding surface.
