摘要： A sawmill, including a log bed for feeding a log, saw means for cutting the log, and a cut-timber bed which receives the timbers into which the log is cut, is inclined to one side so that the log and cut timbers are held in place by their own weight. The sawmill has two gangs of blades which are arranged perpendicularly to each other so that a log can be cut in a single operation directly into timbers. The two gangs of blades are metal cutting blades so that the sawmill can be used to cut logs containing foreign objects, such as nails.
