摘要： A tensioning device for tensioning a flexible elongate member, such as a cord, comprises a first winding member which can rotate around an axle for, directly or indirectly, winding and unwinding the elongate member at a first end thereof, and a second winding member which can rotate around said axle for, directly or indirectly, winding and unwinding the elongate member at the second end thereof. The first and second winding members are interconnected by a tensioning member striving to cause a relative rotation between the first and second winding members for creating a prestress or tension in the elongate member. A restriction device is provided for limiting the maximum possible relative rotation between the first and second winding members.

摘要： A sunshade assembly includes a pair of spaced-apart rails, a roller unit, a screen, and a position-retaining unit. Each rail has opposite front and rear ends, and is formed with a track therealong. The roller unit is spaced apart from the front end, and includes an inner tube member and an outer tube member. The screen has a fixed end secured to the outer tube member, a free end, and opposite peripheral edge portions extending into the tracks. The position-retaining unit includes an annular spool, a rope, and a spiral spring. The rope extends along one of the rails, loops around the rear end, and passes through the track in the rail. The spiral spring is disposed in the spool, and has an inner end connected to the outer tube member and an outer end connected to the spool.

摘要： A vehicle window shade arrangement for at least partially shading the windshield of a vehicle, such as an automobile, having a dash with an upper surface and an elongated opening in the surface extending along the width of the windshield, the window shade arrangement comprising a shade rolled about a shade tube rotatably mounted below the upper surface of the dash; a shade extender-retractor for selectively unrolling the shade from the shade tube to an extended position at least partially shading the windshield, and rolling the shade about the shade tube to a retracted position not shading the windshield; and left and right elongated side supports disposed adjacent left and right sides, respectively, of the windshield. The shade is supported and concealed by the left and right side supports when not retracted. The shade extender-retractor may comprise a manual or powered drive arrangement for driving the shade to the extended and retracted positions. An automatic covering arrangement covers the elongated opening in the dash when the shade is retracted. The shade arrangement may be equally applied to vehicles other than automobiles and may be employed to shade end and/or side windows of such vehicles.

摘要： A sunshade apparatus for a vehicle includes a shading sheet, which opens and closes a light transmitting portion of a vehicle roof, a pair of holding members, which retain the shading sheet, a winding member, which winds the shading sheet and the holding members. The shading sheet is retained at edge portions of the shading sheet, which extend in the shading sheet opening-closing directions by the holding members. The holding members are retained to the winding member in a manner so that winding in at one end in turn winds off the other end and movement direction thereof is reversed at a direction change member positioned at a distance from the winding member in the shading sheet opening-closing directions and the winding member includes a biasing member, which balances tensional force acting in the shading sheet opening-closing directions at one end and the other end of each holding member.
