摘要： A backrest for a vehicle includes a head restraint which can be adjusted to a higher position. The head restraint includes a head part and a support, which is guided displaceably in the backrest, for the head part being transferable from a use region, which is delimited by an upper use position and a lower use position, into a lower not-in-use position in which the backrest is blocked by an interfering structure against use, wherein the support triggers the interfering structure upon transfer of the head restraint into the lower not-in-use position.

摘要： A passenger seat assembly (10) for a motor vehicle (12) includes a seat bottom (24) and seat back (26) which can be folded to a horizontal stowed position for increased storage capacity. The seat assembly (10) comprises a linear recliner (66) for adjustment of the seat back (26) in the upright position and to selectively facilitate forward pivotal folding of the seat back (26) to overlap and cover the seat bottom in the stowed position. The seat back (26) also includes a lower portion (150) pivotally attached to a support stanchion (28) and an upper portion (152) connected to the lower portion (150). An adjustment mechanism (154) automatically adjusts the vertical height of the seat back (26) from a retracted position with the upper portion (152) extended upwardly from the lower portion (150).

摘要： A headrest intended for mounting on the ceiling or roof of a vehicle above the head of an occupant of the vehicle who is sitting in a vehicle seat, the headrest mounted for vertical adjustment by a telescoping shaft so that the head rest lies directly behind the occupant's head, with the headrest being swingably movable forwardly or rearwardly with respect to the occupant along an arcuate path relative to the vehicle ceiling, this forward and rearward movement effected by a reversable electric motor mounted in the ceiling and having a gear driven thereby and engaging an arcuate segment gear attached to the top end of the telescopic shaft, the headrest thus being swingable forwardly or rearwardly relative to the occupant of the vehicle as well as being vertically adjustable such that the headrest may be properly adjusted to lie directly behind the occupant's head in the most comfortable and safe position for use. In addition, when the headrests are not in use they may be readily moved to a position not affecting any possible lines of vision of the vehicle driver.
