摘要： A system including a rack assembly and/or a cargo container assembly for a vehicle. The rack assembly has first and second side supports configured to be attached to opposite lateral sides of the vehicle. The side supports each define a channel that receives an end of one of a plurality of load bars that extend between the first and second side supports. A clamp is associated with each end of each of the plurality of load bars. A cargo container assembly has a container that defines an interior cargo space. The container includes a wall that defines an aperture. A mount is configured to be attached to the vehicle separately from the container. A coupling is configured to allow the container to be secured to the mount. The coupling includes a first portion located on the mount and a second portion located on the container. A portion of the coupling extends through or passes through the aperture when the container is secured to the mount.

All load bearing framework is instead concealed within an interior of the vehicle while only the mount points to the load bearing framework are externalized. 摘要： The present invention, in some embodiments thereof, relates to mechanical device for securing objects to the roof of a vehicle, and more particularly, but not exclusively, to a collapsible car roof rack adaptable to multiple car shapes. An aspect of some embodiments of the current invention, referred to herein as the roof rack, relates to a roof rack deployed across the width of a car. Optionally the rack may include two units. For example, a proximal end of each unit may be mechanically attached between a car door and/or frame (i.e. sandwiched between the door and the frame). Alternatively or additionally, the distal end of the roof rack may be removably coupled to the car roof by a combination of magnetic coupling and/or friction. Optionally, each unit can fold small for easy transport and/or storage.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to a cross bar for a vehicle article carrier that may be releasably secured to a support rail. The cross bar has an end support at each end thereof for securing the cross bar to the support rail. Each end support has a main body configured to engage with a portion of the support rail, an opening in the main body, and a latching element moveably supported from the main body. A threaded member is used for controlling engagement of the latching member with the support rail. The threaded member has a head portion which engages with portions of a spring clip secured in the opening. This helps prevent loosening of the threaded member after it has been tightened.

The coupler may include a selectable pitch interface for adjusting the pitch angle of the crossbar with respect to the coupler and/or a vehicle on which the coupler is mounted. An actuator of the coupler may convert motion of a tightening screw oriented parallel to the crossbar axis into a clamp tightening force oriented orthogonal to the crossbar axis. The tightening screw may be inaccessible when the cover of the coupler is in the closed position.

摘要： Rack systems are disclosed for coupling accessories to crossbars on top of a vehicle. A coupling device may include a flexible strap member adjustably anchored at one end of a body. The strap member may be connected to the other end of the body and tightened. A mounting assembly may be provided on the top side of the body for connection to a cargo-specific carrier or accessory. A coupling device may also include a flexible fitting member configured to grip a round or rectangular crossbar. A cap member may be configured to be mounted on the fitting member and have one or more ramp surfaces which form a sliding interface with a corresponding surface on the fitting member, thereby providing a closing or tightening effect on the fitting member with respect to the crossbar.Other coupling devices are configured to grip or clamp a t-slot in the crossbar.
