摘要： An air blast wiper system and method for removing snow from a vehicular marker light includes an automatic control system connected to an air reservoir for regulating a flow of air into predetermined intermittent gushes of air. Supply tubing distributes air from the automatic control to a predetermined location on the vehicle. A uniquely oriented truncated conical nozzle is used for directing the intermittent gushes of air from the supply tubing toward a surface of the warning light in order to maintain the warning light in a visible state when the vehicle is driving in a snowy or icy conditions. The automatic control includes a pressure switch for determining if the pressure in the air reservoir is below a predetermined level and for preventing use of the blast wiper system to enable the vehicle's air braking system to remain operative.

摘要： A nozzle arm is associated with an air-operated motor arranged to move the nozzle arm in a forward and return cycle across a headlight. The motor is a reversing air motor that includes a mixing chamber for pressured air and a cleaning fluid. The mixing chamber produces a mist under pressure that cleans the headlight in an efficient manner in one cycle of the arm. The motor is controlled in its movement by a cycling valve and an air operated relay valve. The nozzles on the nozzle arm are thin openings that form a pressured fan-like cleaning pattern.

The attachment includes a frame to support a clear transparent member which provides a flat surface, and the frame is sealed against the auto to prevent dirt and moisture from collecting on the curved lamp surface. A wiper blade unit, mounted on rollers in the frame, is moved across the transparent member to clean the flat surface. The wiper may be actuated in one of several ways including a direct cable or a mechanical linkage, and water may be directed onto the flat surface for improved cleaning.
