摘要： A device and method for moving a turf roll end first through a narrow gate. A turf roll mover has a front cradle and a rear cradle, connectable by a connector bar. The connector bar is used to lever the turf roll onto the turf roll mover and to connect the front and rear cradles. Each cradle has four wheels and tires suited for driving over the ground with relatively low friction. To move the turf roll onto the mover, the connector bar is inserted into the one end of the turf roll and used as a lever to lift that end onto the front cradle, then inserted into the other end of the turf roll to lift that end onto the rear cradle. The connector bar is placed into a receiver on the front cradle and into a receiver on the rear cradle to connect the cradles.

摘要： A hand-operated hay bale cart has only two wheels connected in a laterally spaced-apart fashion to a generally rectangular handle frame. The handle frame is generally near the top, or above, the wheels, creating an open space beneath the frame and between the wheels for receiving a bale of animal feed. Pivotally supported by the handle frame is a securement rack that swings freely on a horizontal axis and includes a set of curved hooks at or near both the front and back of the securement rack. A hook handle operates the hooks to rotate relative to the rack to impale the hay bale. The securement rack, if it is allowed to rotate freely, including when it has impaled and secured a bale of hay, may balance the lifted bale of hay between the two wheels for convenient transport.

摘要： This invention relates to a two-wheeled cart with an extended handle for the levered lifting and balanced moving of bales, such as bales of hay. More particularly, hay baled in the form of a rectangular solid is received by the cart at a hay-bale-receiving loader frame and lifted from the ground under leverage about the wheels applied from the handle used for pulling the cart. Once the bale is lifted by the handle and centrally balanced on an axle between the wheels of the cart, the hay-bale-receiving loader frame on the cart can be pivoted in a plane parallel to the axle of the cart. This pivot can occur from a lifting disposition where the major axis of a bale receiving frame is parallel to the axle between the wheels, to a transport disposition where the major axis of the hay-bale-receiving loader frame is normal to the axle between the wheels.

The vehicle consists of a frame, which includes a ground-travel-transport mechanism and a handle portion, and plural elongate tines pivotally mounted on the frame. The tines may be selectively pivoted within a span bounded by an upper orientation, where the tines rest against the frame, and a lower orientation defined by an adjustable stop on the frame. A lever is operatively coupled to the frame for adjusting the radial orientation of the tines within the span bounded by the upper orientation and the lower orientation. In a variation of this embodiment, the frame includes a support structure for supporting baled material rearward of the ground-travel-transport mechanism.

摘要： A two part hay bale carrier of simplified economical construction is formed by a wheel unit and a handle member. The wheel unit comprises a pair of wheels journaled by respective ends of an axle which rigidly supports normally upright tines intermediate its ends which are inverted and manually inserted into an end corner surface of a rectangular bale. The bale and wheel unit is then righted. The handle member comprises a pair of parallel tines joined at one end in U-shaped fashion by a bight portion which projects outward of the opposite end of the bale after the hand member tines are longitudinally inserted into the bale end opposite the wheel unit enabling an operator to substantially balance the mass of the hay bale on the wheel unit and move the bale in two-wheel dolly fashion across the surface of the earth.

摘要： A hand truck has a pivoting wedge that initiates a fracture within a bale of hay, straw and similar materials and assists in retaining the material onto the truck. The wedge pivots out of the way when not in use. A toe consists of long slender tines which may serve the dual purpose of sliding under and/or piercing baled material. The toe is removable from the hand truck for shipping and storage purposes. A guard rack is also provided to provide enhanced support for loose material carried by the truck and to prevent the material from getting caught up in the tires or being dragged inadvertently. According to a method of the invention, the hand truck is engaged with the bale, the wedge used to separate a flake, and then the flake is transported on the hand truck.
