摘要： A pistol-shaped automatically retracting chalk-line dispenser comprises a three-member housing enclosing two separate chambers. The upper, chalk-receiving chamber, contains a double-walled chalk-line spool and a line-guiding roller. A seal on the chalk-line spool shaft prevents chalk dust from entering the second chamber, which contains drive gears, the line-retracting spring, and a trigger-actuated latching brake mechanism. In one embodiment, a finger-like projection from the trigger is initially brought to bear on a rotating cap to brake the rate of line retraction as the trigger is pulled rearwardly. If the trigger is pulled back more than a predetermined distance, the finger-like projection snaps into engagement between the teeth of a sprocket attached to the cap and thus locks the retraction mechanism.

摘要： This hot stamping machine comprises a stamping member, which is intended to press a stamping foil against the peripheral surface of individual articles in order to stamp said articles, the individual articles being positioned successively into a stamping position and stamped by a stamping sequence which is repeated far each article. The machine comprises stamping foil unwinding means, intended to sequentially unwind a length of stamping foil at the end of each stamping sequence for the next stamping sequence, and stamping foil rewinding means. The stamping machine further comprises a stamping foil suction box and a stamping foil braking surface, the braking surface having a fixed orientation relative to the frame of the machine during each stamping sequence. The stamping foil which comes from the unwinding means passes in succession into the suction box, along the braking surface and opposite the stamping member, in such a way that a reserve of stamping foil is available in the suction box between the unwinding means and the braking surface, while the stamping foil is tensioned opposite the stamping member between the braking surface and the rewinding means.

摘要： This invention generally relates to a winding device and more particularly to an apparatus and method to rewind the line of marker buoys, pre-strung blanks, kite string reels, and similar objects. In general the winding device comprises a turning receiver adapted to contact the outer surface of one end of the object to be rewound and, with power from a power source, to rotate the object to rewind the line. The winding device also comprises an end piece adapted to contact the outer surface of the other end of the object and to hold the object in a desired position for rewinding. A winding device of the present invention may rewind the line of a variety of sizes, shapes and configurations of such objects.

摘要： A chalk box assembly for providing an automated retracting chalk line comprising: a chalk box housing; a spring assembly within the housing; a spool for retaining a chalk line within the housing, where the spring assembly is attached to the spool and provides for the retraction of the chalk line; a chalk compartment within the housing, where chalk is stored within the chalk compartment; and a retraction button engaged with the spring assembly, where the button causes the release of the spring assembly for the retraction of the chalk line. The chalk box assembly according to the present invention may further include a chalk line guide and a chalk fill door. In one particular embodiment of the present invention, the chalk box assembly further includes a belt clip on one side thereof.
