摘要: An object is to provide a monitoring system capable of preventing the occurrence of a defect in paper by monitoring the device. The present invention is directed to a monitoring system A having a papermaking machine 1 for manufacturing paper X, an applying device 2 for applying a chemical solution to a site of the papermaking machine directly or indirectly in contact with the paper while the papermaking machine 1 is operated, a control panel 3 for setting an application condition of the applying device 2, a monitoring camera 4 for monitoring a monitoring target site, and a control device 5 connected to the monitoring camera 4 via a network. The monitoring target site is the site of the papermaking machine 1 directly or indirectly in contact with the paper X and/or the applying device 2, and the control device 5 has a computing unit S1 which converts a state of the monitoring target site into a numerical form by using video taken by the monitoring camera 4, a display unit S2 which displays detection data obtained by conversion into the numerical form at the computing unit S1, and a storage unit S3 which stores the detection data.

摘要: A fibrous body accumulating device includes an accumulating section including a drum that introduces and releases a material including fibers, a detection section detecting a presence of the material in the drum, and an estimation section estimating an amount of the material in the drum based on a detection frequency at which the detection section detects the material. The fibrous body accumulating device further includes a storage section in which a calibration curve showing a relationship between the detection frequency and the amount of the material in the drum is stored, and the estimation section calculates information on the detection frequency and estimates the amount of the material in the drum with reference to the calibration curve.

摘要: Apparatus is disclosed for controlling freeness of stock from parallel refiners by controlling the rise in temperature of stock through each refiner. The Delta T setpoint for each refiner is adjusted to compensate for: variations in consistency of stock; maximum power rating of the refiner; weighted average freeness of stock from all refiners; and the composite frheness of stock delivered to a paper machine. Error in the desired temperature rise of a given refiner is employed to control its disc or plug operation. An on-line analyzer is employed to monitor composite freeness. Couch or flatbox vacuum is employed as an alternative measure of composite freeness, but only if intentional paper machine changes which would affect vacuum have not been made. Operator control of composite freeness is also permitted. The composite freeness setpoint is adjusted to maintain a desired paper bursting strength. Power checks are made and instructions are automatically given to adjust flow rate to an individual refiner in order to keep it operating within its maximum power limit and to add or delete refiners for optimum efficiency.

摘要: Properties of an end product, such as paper, paperboard or board, are important for the user of the end product. To be able to manufacture an end product of desired quality, it is important to know what kind of paper pulp used for manufacturing the end product results in a particular kind of property of the end product. Embodiments provide a method and an apparatus for generating a model, which model connects at least one property of the end product with at least one property of the paper pulp. On the basis of the model, also the manufacturing process can be controlled.
