    摘要: Methods are presented for managing a contaminant that may be in a powdered form. One such method can include pre-cleaning a contamination area where a contaminant can be introduced, and constructing a media barrier and blocking an infrastructure feature with the media barrier so that ingress of the contaminant into the infrastructure feature is prevented. The contaminant can be removed from the contamination area by performing a hand sweep of the contamination area, and performing mechanized sweeping of the contamination area. Next residual contaminant in the contamination area is treated, and the treated contaminant allowed to naturally disperse. The media barrier is then removed.

    摘要: A hard surface cleaner having a cleaning head with rotational assist. In one embodiment, the cleaning head includes a housing having a fluid-supply and vacuum inlets. The housing also includes at least one flow-control inlet arranged with the vacuum inlet to draw a flow of air into the housing through the flow-control inlet. The cleaning head further includes a spray assembly at least partially enclosed within the housing. The spray assembly includes a shaft, at least one spray nozzle operably coupled to the shaft, and a plurality of fins also operably coupled to the shaft. The spray nozzle is configured to receive a pressurized fluid from the fluid-supply inlet and to rotate about the shaft by delivering the pressurized fluid toward a floor surface. The fins are positioned at least partially within the flow of air through the flow control inlet to control the rotational speed of the spray assembly.

    摘要: A vacuum box in fluid communication with a tractor that removes coatings from surfaces. The vacuum box includes a vacuum inlet in fluid communication with a source of negative pressure and a debris inlet in fluid communication with the tractor so that debris is drawn into and collected within a hollow interior of the vacuum box. A water outlet provides a drain for water that collects within the vacuum box. A sloped false bottom wall is disposed within the hollow interior so that debris collects atop it. The vacuum box is emptied by draining water from it, followed by opening a door formed in the vacuum box at the lower end of the sloped false bottom wall so that the collected debris slides down the false bottom wall and out the door into a debris receptacle.

    摘要: A surface cleaning system having a storage container, debris collection apparatus and debris conduit is disclosed. Water discharged from spray nozzles configured in a circular arrangement forces debris into a debris collection ring and then a debris conduit. An auger, water pressure or air pressure is used to force the debris through debris conduit into the storage container for disposal. The design of the debris collection apparatus also facilitates the capture of most of the water used to force the debris into the debris collection apparatus. Accordingly, the system is able to reuse the water thereby extending the surface area that may be cleaned with a specified amount of water.

    摘要: A material-removal system can include a spray-head assembly with a plurality of rotatable fluid bars arranged in a single shroud with overlapping sweeps. A gear-box assembly can index the rotations of the fluid bars to coordinate their rotation and prevent the fluid bars from interfering with one another. The material-removal system can be mounted on a mobile platform, such as a vehicle. The vehicle can have a fluid-storage tank and a debris tank that can be tilted for dumping operation while the fluid-storage tank remains stationary. A peristaltic pump can advantageously remove liquid waste from the debris tank while a vacuum system has the debris tank operating under vacuum. The spray-head assembly can be coupled to the vehicle with an articulating-arm assembly that can include a four-bar mechanism and a pair of rotary actuators to facilitate vertical and rotational movement of the arm assembly and the spray-head assembly.
