Interconnection between adjacent beams need not be linear, allowing free-form shapes and angles.

    摘要: Disclosed is a device for supporting acoustical ceilings and other suspended objects. The device includes a clamp that is removably inserted into an outer sleeve. The exterior wall of the clamp includes threaded elements that can mate with threaded elements disposed on the interior wall of the outer sleeve so that the clamp can twist in and out of the outer sleeve in a screw-like manner. The clamp includes a cavity for securing a ceiling wire therein, wherein the ceiling wire can be attached to an overhead ceiling structure. The outer sleeve is removably secured to a ceiling grid. In use, the clamp can be repositioned within the outer sleeve to adjust the height of the ceiling grid. In this way, the present invention can be used in construction and commercial applications in a convenient manner, thereby simplifying the process of providing support for acoustic ceilings.

    摘要: One embodiment provides a method and apparatus for suspending air conditioning duct works from a support structure comprising unistrut type support beams which apparatus includes a plurality of support brackets arranged and configured for being slidably interlockable with the interior of the unistrut beam members. The support brackets can be slid inside the interior of the support beam until adjacent a support beam which support beam can be connected to the support bracket. In like manner additional support brackets can be inserted into the interior of the support beam members to be adjustably located next to their respective support rod. In such manner multiple support rods can be used to support a frame member even where the support rods are not symmetrically located along the length of the support beam as the support bracket can be slid/moved inside the support beam until lining up with its respective support rod. Additionally, the entire support framework can be moved relative to the plurality of support rods by sliding the framework relative to the support brackets. In such manner the location of the supporting frame member can be changed without moving the support rods.

    摘要: A sealable ceiling assembly is provided for use in applications such as clean rooms. The sealable ceiling assembly may include main beams suspended from a support ceiling parallel to each other and cross beams that run perpendicular to the main beams to attach the main beams together. Each cross beam has a bore from which coupling members extend to either side. Each coupling member has a head with a cam surface designed to interlock with a retention slot of the main beam in response to ninety-degree rotation of the coupling member. The coupling members are attached within the bores of the cross beams via set screws that can be rotated after engagement to urge retraction of the coupling members into the bore to tighten engagement of the cross beams with the main beams. Stiffeners may be attached to top nut slots of any of the beams that need reinforcement.
