摘要: In some aspects, deicer systems to distribute a deicing fluid along a roof of a building to limit ice dam formation can include: a pre-pressurized water source that provides pressurized water; a deicer solution source containing a deicer solution; a passive mixing system in fluid communication with the pre-pressurized water source and the deicer solution source, the passive mixing system being configured to combine the pressurized water and the deicer solution to form a deicer fluid; and one or more emitters configured to be disposed along the roof, the emitters being in fluid communication with the passive mixing system to receive the deicer fluid and dispense the deicer fluid along the roof. In addition, certain systems described herein can be run with an electric pump.

摘要: A gutter cover has a lip for attachment to a structure below the roof. An upper cover extends away from the lip at an angle between 90 and 180 degrees relative to the lip. A folded section extends towards the attachment lip at an angle between 0 and 180 degrees relative to the upper cover. A covering section extends substantially parallel with, and spaced apart from, said folded section and has a number of apertures therein configured to allow water to pass into the gutter. Exemplary embodiments may utilize a filtering mesh positioned in the space between the folded section and the covering section.

摘要: A gutter debris barrier system for preventing debris from entering a gutter includes a frame that is attached to a fascia of a building and a filter screen. The frame may include a floor with slots punched therein, with ribs on either side of the slots that form channels. The channels may be tapered to improve the speed and efficiency of heat transfer, and also to funnel water down into the gutter. The ribs may have planar upper surfaces or tips lying in a common horizontal plane and supporting a flat filter screen.

摘要: A roof and rain gutter ice melt system and assembly provide a base panel and a cover panel. The base panel is functionally adapted to be mounted at a roof edge at the back wall of a conventional rain gutter. In one embodiment, the base panel also includes means for supporting a heat cable within it. Electrical energization of the heat cable results in the conduction of heat through the base panel and through the cover panel, the cover panel including means of overlapping and engaging the base panel. A second heat cable is disposed in the floor of the rain gutter. In an alternative embodiment, the heat cable is disposed within a roof edge panel. In either alternative embodiment, a front panel can be provided to allow the front lip of the rain gutter to be heated atop a metal gutter screen.

摘要: The system includes a substantially corrugated rigid screen body providing underlying support for a heating element. The body includes a heating wire or other heat source coupled with the body formed of heat conducting material. The body is configured with downward extending protrusions, that may be L-shaped or otherwise shaped, forming flexible heat element receiving channels that are open faced toward the front end of a rain gutter for easy insertion of the heating element during installation of the corrugated rigid body. The gutter guard also employs an ultra-slick coating, tape, or intrinsic material on portions of the gutter guard to prevent or limit ice or ice cycle formation.

摘要: The invention includes a substantially rigid body providing underlying support for a filter screen. The invention further includes at least one heating wire disposed adjacent to the body, which is formed of heat conductive material. The body is configured with multiple ribs extending up from a floor so that heat transfer from the body to the screen can occur in a variety of different locations to keep the screen sufficiently heated. The body also includes a wing for interfacing with roofing and openings to allow water filtering through the screen to migrate down into the gutter. A cover overlies a channel, which contains one or more of the heating wires. The system includes a flange attached to the body and extends into the gutter enhancing the heat transfer from the body to within the gutter to keep the water flowing in gutter.

摘要: An ice buildup inhibitor is disclosed useful for preventing ice damming, in particular in conjunction with the use of a closed gutter. Heat escape through a roof made warm snow pack, causing it to melt and flow down toward the gutter. After moving away from the heated roof, the water may re-freeze and form an ice dam. In the ice buildup inhibitor may be configured to warm in the closed gutter, thereby preventing the formation of an ice dam. They ice buildup inhibitor may be configured to be easily installed onto an existing closed gutter, enabling responsive installation on only those homes experiencing ice damming.
