摘要： Disclosed is a fitting (1) for use with corrugated tubing (2) having a series of peaks (3) and valleys (4). The fitting (1) comprises a nut (5) having a passage (6) therethrough for receiving the tubing (2) and at least one retainer (7) arranged in the nut (5), wherein the retainer (7) has a retainer sealing surface (8) for placement in a valley (4) of the corrugated tubing (2). The fitting (1) further comprises a body (9) having a pointy annular body sealing edge (10) arranged so that the apex (11) of the body sealing edge (10) is pressed against the retainer sealing surface (8) when the nut (5) and the body (9) are forced toward each other. A method for connecting corrugated tubing (2) to a fitting (1) comprising a nut (5), a retainer (7) and a body (9) and use of a fitting (1) is also disclosed.

摘要： A heat-fusible gasket for affecting a flexible seal between two adjoining components of a coupling, such as the spigot end of a section of plastic pipe and a bell coupler to be fitted thereover. The gasket has an inner core which is constructed of an elastomeric material, and outer opposing sealing surfaces that are formed at least in part of a heat-fusible material that is compatible with the heat-fusible components with which the gasket is intended to engage. The gasket is co-extruded in continuous lengths with electrically conductive heat resistance wires embedded in the outer compatibly heat-fusible layers. For annular gaskets, the co-extruded lengths of gasket material may be cut and spliced into any desired diameter gasket. Upon connection to a power source, the gasket seal is perfected through electrofusion along the opposing sealing surfaces of the gasket, thereby providing enhanced sealing capability.

摘要： A gasket is provided that forms a sealing connection between a pair of tubular members. The gasket comprises a first section shaped to fit within a recess of one of a pair of tubular members. The first section includes an anchor portion comprising first and second sides. The gasket further comprises a second section extending from the first section and is configured to make a sealing contact with the other of the tubular members. The gasket also includes at least one self-locating arm in a sealing contact within the recess and extending from one of the first or second sides of the anchor portion of the first section. The self-locating arm biases the first section such that the other of the first or second sides is in contact with the recess to form a sealing connection.

摘要： A corrugated pipe saddle gasket is provided having a leading member, a primary sealing member, and an arm member, with the gasket having a contoured surface extending along at least a portion of the bottom of the primary sealing member and the arm member corresponding to the shape of a corrugated pipe. The primary sealing member of a second length is intermediate the leading member of a first length and the arm member of a third length, with the third length being greater than the sum of the first and second lengths. The gasket has at least a portion of its arm member having a durometer different from the durometer of the primary sealing member. In the preferred embodiment, the arm member has an axis that is substantially horizontal, and the leading member has an axis that is substantially vertical, such that the two axes are substantially perpendicular. The primary sealing member has a beveled portion, a sloping portion, and an end wall, with the sloping portion being between the beveled portion and the end wall. The leading member has a bottom surface, a channel, and a leading face having top and bottom edges.

摘要： A pipe coupling for joining adjacent ends of first and second pipe sections. The coupling includes a generally cylindrical sleeve having first and second sides. The sleeve is formed as a sheet which is rolled to form the sleeve, wherein the first side of the sleeve defines a substantially continuous annular corrugation to cooperatively engage an end of a first pipe section. The connection of the pipe coupling to the first pipe section end occurs at a factory. The second side of the sleeve is in the form of a bell and defines a non-corrugated surface which is adapted to slidably receive an end of the second pipe section in the field, to thereby interconnect the adjacent ends of pipe. Gaskets may be provided to further reduce infiltration or exfiltration at the coupling.

One of the legs is an annular projection that extends outwardly from the annular member. The vertical member and some of the legs form a base portion, with the annular projection extending outwardly from the base portion. The base portion may have an I-shaped cross section. Alternatively, the annular member may have a cross-shaped cross section. The gasket is sized to seat in a groove of a pipe. A pipe joint and corrugated pipe are also provided that utilize the gasket. A method of sealing a pipe joint and a method of manufacturing a gasket are also described.
