摘要: A light bulb changing tool comprising a holding structure configured to engage a light bulb, the holding structure configured along an axis, the motorized holding structure configured to actuate in a first direction and a second direction. The light bulb changing tool further includes a force generator configured to selectively force the light bulb against the holding structure and a control unit configured to remotely communicate with the holding structure and the force generator, wherein the electronic control unit sends control signals to drive the holding structure to selectively move in the first direction and the second direction and/or to activate the force generator. The tool further comprises an arm member for positioning the holding structure in a desired configuration to engage the light bulb, wherein the arm member is coupled to the holding structure. The holding structure further comprises a rotator mechanism configured to rotate the holding structure in the first direction about the axis.

摘要: An extendable multi-tool comprising an extendable pole and a head unit selectively detachably coupled together. The head unit comprises a grasping mechanism configured to engage a light bulb, a control switch and a rotation mechanism. The control switch configured to cause the grasping mechanism to become secured to a light bulb, and to cause the rotation mechanism to automatically detect when a light bulb is secured to the grasping mechanism and then rotate the grasping unit and the secured light bulb in a first direction based on the position of the control switch. The tool further comprises an arm unit for positioning the grasping mechanism in a desired configuration to engage the light bulb, wherein the arm member is coupled to the grasping mechanism.

摘要: The invention disclosed herein is a counter weighted hinged light pole which allows easy access to the light fixtures and other devices attached at the top of the light pole to be accessed. The counter weighted hinged light pole consists of a support base, a central support pole which is attached to the base and which has a hinge located at the end opposite the base. A top pole to which the lights and other devices are attached is affixed to the hinge. A second bottom member is also attached to the hinge and is an extension of the top pole in the opposite direction. A counter weight approximating the weight of the light fixtures is attached to the end of the second bottom member. A rope attached to the end of the top pole near the light fixtures enables a worker to lower the light fixtures by applying tension to the rope. The top of the top pole rotates in a downward arc around the hinge.

摘要: A mounting and lowering system for supporting one or more luminaires or similar devices having use within an indoor space or similarly configured space such as an open-air pavilion or the like, the system comprising a support assembly capable of being raised and lowered above a location within such a space not conveniently available for use in the servicing of luminaires or devices mounted by the system. The present system includes a latching mechanism permitting remote latching and unlatching of the support assembly. Vertical displacement of the support assembly can be effected without power interruption. Primary drive components are positioned within the system to facilitate service and replacement. The invention further contemplates transition apparatus capable of use in indoor spaces having differing ceiling angles.

摘要: A hinge mechanism comprises first and second chock plates and an adjustable shaft. Each of the chock plates includes an aperture in the form of a figure of eight, the first and second circular portions of which are similar and are connected by a neck portion of a width less than the diameter of the circular portions. The shaft is longitudinally adjustable between a first retracted position in which the sections of the shaft aligned with each of the chock plates have a cross-section which corresponds to the circular portion of the aperture and a second extended position in which the sections of the shaft aligned with each of the chock plates have a cross-section of a diameter which is less than the width of neck portion.

The support pole includes an elongate pole and a carriage mounted for translational movement up and down the pole. Carriage locks at the top of the pole engage the carriage in the elevated position to prevent vibration of the supported object, and a stabilizer frame within the channel minimizes vibration during carriage transport.
