摘要： A ball-launching device includes a housing, ball holder, elastomeric member, cocking member, latch, and trigger assembly. The housing has an opening at a first end defining an elongated cavity. The ball holder is disposed in the housing cavity and slidable in an axial direction from a first position proximate to the opening at the housing first end, to a second position. The elastomeric member is selectively arranged within the housing to bias the ball holder toward the first position. The cocking member includes a first portion disposed outside of the housing, being usable to move the ball holder into a cocked position, where the latch may oppose the bias of the elastomeric member and releasably secure the cocking member and the ball holder thereat. Actuating the trigger assembly releases the latch, permitting the elastomeric member to accelerate the ball holder towards the housing first end to launch the ball therefrom.

摘要： A rifle sling shot device facilitates aiming and shooting a projectile using a sling mechanism released by manipulating a trigger. The device includes a stock having a front end and a butt end. A pair of spaced arms is coupled to and extends upwardly from the stock proximate the front end of the stock. A trigger is coupled to the stock. A pin is coupled to the stock. The pin is moved by manipulation of the trigger. A band has opposed ends coupled to the arms. A length of the band is resiliently stretchable wherein the band is extendable into a stretched position. 摘要： A preloadable, swappable and reloadable cylindrical magazine for rubber band and slingshot guns. Exhausted magazines can be replaced in seconds, allowing extended shooting. The release mechanism of projectiles is self-contained; no trigger as it is understood is required, making it particularly suitable in the design of Gatling guns. Hooks in front and fingers at rear engage energized projectiles. The rotation of the magazine causes fingers to tilt forward and projectiles to free themselves by sliding up the tilted fingers without outside disturbances, assuring the best shooting accuracy ever. A pawl and a ratchet wheel control the rotation of magazines. Depending on how long the pawl is disengaged, single shots or continuous firing is equally easy to execute. The successive firing rate is determined by how fast the magazine can rotate. Modular design allows through combinations of components numerous configurations for different sizes and numbers of elastic bands and various designs of toy guns.

摘要： An ice ball launcher simulates the impact of a storm-generated hailstone falling onto a test specimen or structural component exhibit such as a roofing shingle, skylight, automobile panel, aircraft fuselage panel, aircraft wing panel and the like. The launcher includes a tripod base, a rail, a sled, an ice ball holder cup, a manually operable trigger latch assembly, an elastic band and a laser beam aiming device. The ice ball launcher consistently and repeatably projects ice balls at a predetermined velocity and impact energy onto the component sample. The velocity of each ice ball is measured as it transits from the ice ball launcher to the installation mockup, verifying that the ice ball velocity is within a predetermined velocity tolerance range. The measured velocity and known mass of the ice ball are used to calculate the kinetic impact energy on the component sample material, and to determine whether the calculated impact energy is within a predetermined impact energy tolerance range.

摘要： A firecracker launching device for launching a firecracker up to 50 feet so that it would be safely exploded. The firecracker launching device includes a handgun-shaped member having an elongate barrel, and a handgrip stock member. The barrel has an internal cavity, and a longitudinal opening through its top wall and into the cavity. A launching lever is pivotally mounted in the cavity, toward the front of the barrel, the lever having a forward lug member, a rearward catch member, and a firecracker receiving slot. A trigger is pivotally mounted in the cavity, rearward of the lever, the trigger having a latch member engageable with the catch member of the lever, and a finger-engaging portion. A spring extends between the lug member and the trigger, so that when the trigger is pulled, the latch will disengage from the catch, to pivot the lever forward under bias from the spring, to launch a firecracker.

摘要： A slingshot device for accurate shooting of a projectile having an elongated stationary support channel having forward and rearward portions. A movable carriage is slidably engaged by the stationary support channel and movable between an extended, forward cocked position and a retracted rearward holding position. A locking device is mounted on the forward portion of the elongated stationary support channel to releasably lock the carriage in the extended, forward cocked position. An elongated elastic band has opposite ends mounted in vertically spaced relation on the carriage. A pouch for releasably retaining the projectile is positioned at a midpoint of the elastic band device. A trigger is mounted on the stationary support channel and movable between an engagement position in releasable engagement with the pouch of the elastic band device, and a release position. Upon movement of the carriage to the forward cocked position, the elastic band is substantially stretched such that when the trigger is released, the elastic band is operative to propel a projectile in the pouch forwardly.The slingshot apparatus may also include a sighting device mounted above the departure path of line of departure of the projectile. The sighting device may have a plurality of sighting apertures to accommodate different target distances.
