摘要: An image forming assembly and method utilizes a laminate processing sheet. The laminate processing sheet is applied on an emulsion side of an exposed photosensitive film which includes sprocket holes along opposing edges. In a first feature of the present invention, a width of the laminate processing sheet is confined to an image area between the opposing sprocket holes, so as to reduce or eliminate the possibility of processing marks in or around an area of the opposing sprocket holes. In a further feature of the present invention, an absorbing sheet can be applied to the backside of the photosensitive film, to absorb any excess processing or wetting solution that is applied to the photosensitive film. This also aids in reducing or eliminating unwanted processing marks at the sprocket holes or an area in the vicinity of the sprocket holes.

摘要: A disposable, manually operable, film processor of the type which is adapted to superpose the emulsion side of an exposed strip of self-developing transparency type film with a length of sheet material having a layer of processing composition thereon and wind the resulting laminate upon a take-up roller until visible images have been formed in the film. After formation of the visible images, the laminate is unwound from the take-up roller and the film stripped from the sheet material and directed outside of the processor. An interlock is provided for insuring that the processor's loading door is opened before the laminate can be unwound thereby insuring the movement of the film to the exterior of the processor.

摘要: A roll and method of making same which is impregnated with a large amount of a developer liquid while substantially excluding ambient air. The pressure of rolling causes the liquid to ooze out of the peripherial surface of the roll in small fixed quantities and to be transferred to sheet material such as paper rolled therewith. Such a roll is capable of copying for an extended period of time without replacement and without necessity of replenishment of the developed liquid.

摘要: The invention relates to the application of a uniform film of a fluid to the surface of a flat workpiece as it is being conveyed through a workstation. The invention is specifically directed to the development of lithographic printing plates and comprises the application of the thin film of developer solution to each plate in a controlled manner using a wire-wound coating device and a unique manner of metering and feeding fresh fluid to the wire-wound device. Specifically, the fluid is gently fed onto the wire-wound device by simple volumetric displacement and overflow from the inside of a hollow tube onto the wire and the flow is controlled by sensing the beginning and end of each workpiece or plate. The hollow tube may be the wire-wound component or it may be a tube mounted above the wire-wound component. The spent developer is rinsed and sent to waste. According to the invention, only fresh developer solution is applied at a uniform film thickness, thereby achieving uniform image development.

摘要: A method for photographic processing of an exposed photosensitive film wherein a plurality of photographic processing elements comprising a carrier layer and a photographic processing layer containing photographic processing material are brought into contact, consecutively, with the exposed photosensitive film whereby a visible image is formed in the film. Each photographic processing element is initially brought into contact with the photosensitive film with the application of pressure and the processing element and the film are allowed to remain in contact with each other for a required period of time, during which at least one, and preferably a plurality of, additional pressure applications are carried out.
