Abstract:
A printing system for printing on tabbed media having a plurality of tab positions. A media transport system picks the next sheet of tabbed media from a media tray. A detection system detects the tab position for the sheet of tabbed media. The detected tab position is compared to an expected tab position and if the detected tab position is different from the expected tab position then either the front end is used to supply image data to be printed on the sheet of tabbed media having the detected tab position, or the media transport system is controlled to direct the sheet of tabbed media into a waste receptacle and pick one or more additional sheets of tabbed media until the detected tab position is the same as the expected tab position.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section configured to form a toner image on a sheet having a paste component; and an end pressing section provided on an upstream side of the image forming section in a sheet conveyance direction, and configured to exert a pressure on an end portion of the sheet while moving from a center toward an end of the sheet in a sheet width direction orthogonal to the sheet conveyance direction.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the productivity of image formation from being lowered due to discharge of surplus tabbed sheets in a double-sided printing job in which output sheet bundles are produced by inserting tabbed sheets into each bundle of double-sided printed recording sheets. In a case that output sheet bundles are each produced by setting tabbed sheet bundles each comprised of five tabbed sheets to the image forming apparatus, by inserting one tabbed sheet subsequently to double-sided image formation on five recording sheets, and by performing double-sided image formation on other five recording sheets, four surplus tabbed sheets are discharged subsequently to feeding of the tabbed sheet, instead of discharging the four surplus tabbed sheets after completion of image formation on a second surface of a tenth recording sheet.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus which prevents lowering of productivity when sets of tab sheets are used in one print job. The apparatus includes first sheet feeding units storing tab sheets, and a second sheet feeding unit storing plain paper. The apparatus produces print products in each which at least part of each set of tab sheets and plain paper are mixed. A print job processor causes print products to be produced by repeating a sequence of processing for feeding the at least part of each set of tab sheets and feeding plain paper. The processor causes surplus tab sheets to be discharged which have not been used for the print products and remaining in the first sheet feeding units, after a print product is produced through sheet feeding from a last one of the first sheet feeding units in order.
Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus and method of manufacturing a color filter adsorbing toner nano-particles by using electrostatic force. In the apparatus for manufacturing the color filter, a laser driver generates at least one laser control signal according to electrification data, at least one laser device forming a laser irradiation unit which irradiates a laser for a predetermined time according to the at least one laser control signal. According to the irradiated laser, electrostatic latent images are formed in positions of color filter cells having a predetermined resolution standard requirements in a glass substrate, and toner nano-particles are electrostatically adsorbed to the formed electrostatic latent images.
Abstract:
An image recording device includes a first detecting unit, a recording unit, and a control unit. The first detecting unit detects a position of a perforation pre-formed in a recording sheet. The recording unit records an image on the recording sheet based on printing data. The control unit is configured to imaginarily divide the recording sheet into a first region including a portion where the perforation is pre-formed, and a second region excluding the first region based on the position of the perforation detected by the first detecting unit. The control unit prohibits the recording unit from recording the image on the first region and controls the recording unit to record the image at least partially on the second region.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a first paper feed discharge unit which feeds and discharges a recording medium; a second paper feed discharge unit which is formed with an opening and which feeds and discharges the recording medium via the opening; an image forming section which forms an image on the recording medium fed from the first paper feed discharge unit and the second paper feed discharge unit; a first transport mechanism which transports the recording medium from the first paper feed discharge unit to the image forming section; a second transport mechanism which connects the second paper feed discharge unit and the first transport mechanism and which transports the recording medium; a paper feed unit which feeds the recording medium or a storage type recording medium having a storage unit; a transport control unit which controls the first and second transport mechanisms.
