    摘要: To provide a CAM system and method which can facilitate change of a machining posture and a machining procedure, and can aid an operation of forming an optimum machining path. Machining features capable of being integrated into one are obtained and a machining procedure for the integrated machining feature is obtained. Based on the machining procedure, design data is converted to manufacturing data. The manufacturing data capable of machining the integrated machining feature together can be therefore obtained in contrast with the case of separately machining the individual machining features which constitute the integrated machining feature.

    摘要: A method of generating a computer readable model of a geometrical object constructed from a plurality of interconnectable construction elements, wherein each construction element has a number of connection elements for connecting the construction element with another construction element. The method comprises encoding a first and a second one of the construction elements as corresponding data structures, each representing the connection elements of the corresponding construction element, and each of the connection elements having associated with it a predetermined connection type. The method further comprises determining a first connection element of the first construction element and a second connection element of the second construction element located in a predetermined proximity of each other; and retrieving connectivity information of the corresponding connection types of the first and second connection elements indicative of whether the first and second connection elements provide a connection between the first and the second construction element.

A plurality of process bodies are created in a single file. Each process body includes a virtual blank corresponding to said blank and a plurality of manufacturing features. A virtual machining of each manufacturing feature of the plurality of manufacturing features into the virtual blank is implemented. Each manufacturing feature exhibits an associative relationship with the coordinate system. Manufacturing instructions are generated to create the actual part by machining the plurality of manufacturing features into the blank.
