摘要: A stabilized platform useable for various purposes to provide compensation for motion in two axes, such as pitch and roll on a ship. The system operates independently of the object to be stabilized and without the use of gyroscopes by using accelerometers, position sensors and a proportional drive controller augmented with estimation and filtering. The mechanical design reduces size, weight, and power requirements, by providing a system including a stabilized structure; a base structure for supporting the stabilized structure; an enclosure to protect the system from environment elements; first sensors for measuring angular displacements of the stabilized structure with respect to the base structure; and second sensors for measuring acceleration data and acceleration vector angles; and a processor for receiving the angular displacements of the stabilized structure with respect to the base structure from the first sensors and determining an angle of the base structure relative to the stabilized structure, for receiving the acceleration data and acceleration vector angles from the second sensors and determining a direction of local vertical relative to the base structure, and for maintaining the stabilized structure at a desired orientation utilizing the angle of the base structure relative to the stabilized structure and the direction of local vertical relative to the base structure.

摘要: An automatic antenna direction controller which automatically turns an antenna rotor and connected antenna to a desired direction which is preselected by a pointer knob. A dual use meter needle is utilized by action of the pointer knob to select the azimuth of an antenna and to indicate the actual azimuth. A multi-color status LED indicator indicates different colors corresponding to the percentage of rotational completion completed. Control is offered by onboard circuitry for automatic brake release and setting, preset electronic end points for rotation limits, overshoot protection, and an unstick routine. Optional control can also be managed by an outboard computer through an RS-232 connection.

摘要: Method for obtaining a predetermined position for a satellite antenna, whereby a controller (9) is made to transfer information to a velocity controller (3), in turn being made to transfer information to a current regulator (4), being made to transfer current to a motor which is intended for setting the desired position of the satellite antenna. The electrical motor (5) is made to receive current from the current regulator so that the electrical motor is made to turn a predetermined angle during a predetermined time interval. An angle sensor (6) is positioned on the satellite antenna and is made to read an absolute angle or an angular displacement of the satellite antenna, and the angle sensor is connected to the controller so as to create a feedback loop. An automatic control system is also disclosed.

摘要: A method and apparatus for rotating an antenna, including a keypad is used to first program a controller for storing a plurality of individually selectable positions for the antenna, a particular key of the keypad representing a programmed position for the antenna, whereafter programming the keys of the keypad are individually depressed for commanding the controller to operate a motor driven rotator for moving the antenna in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction to the position associated with the momentarily depressed key. Also, visual indicators are arranged in a compass configuration for indicating the positioning of the antenna as it rotates, and selectively indicating the rest position of the antenna.
