摘要： A severable ticket-type entry item for admission to an event attended by a plurality of people has a magnetic code indication. A detector detects the magnetic code indication of the entry item and produces an input electrical signal varying in accordance with the magnetic code indication. An identifying device has a variable predetermined code electric signal recorded therein. The identifying device is electrically connected to the detecting device and compares the input and code signals and produces an acceptance signal when the signals are the same and a rejection signal when the signals are different. A severing device electrically connected to the identifying device severs the entry item to provide a stub part for the holder thereof and a record part for recorded entry data on the entry item when the identifying device produces an acceptance signal. A rejecting device electrically connected to the identifying device and to the severing device prevents severance of the entry item and returns the entire entry item when the identifying device produces a rejection signal.

摘要： A card puncher for punching as a yardstick of use a card for getting coupon tickets on and used as tickets on omibuses and electric trains, and a method of controlling the card puncher. Data on a target quantity of conveyance of the card correponding to a position where the card is punched is stored in memory. A card conveyer is driven to convey the card by a quantity corresponding to data on the target quantity of conveyance stored in the memeory. A quantity of coast of the card after the drive of the card conveyer is teminated is measured. If the sum of the target quantity of conveyance and the measured quantity of coast of the card is within a predetermined allowable limit, the card is punched. If otherwise, data on the target quantity of conveyance in the memory is corrected such that the sum falls within the predetermined allowable limit, the card is returned to a position where the punching starts and the punching operation is retried.

摘要： Tickets accepting machines arranged to curtail presently known ways of fraudulously using admission tickets, including transfers, to gain access into a public transit system. The tickets accepting machines are each provided with a ticket multilating device whereby any ticket issuing from the machine, either legally or illegally, is visibly mutilated and improper for re-use in a tickets accepting machine of at least the same type. The mutilating device includes a rotary cutter arranged to severe a portion of each ticket inserted into the machine.

摘要： A cut optical disk is provided. The optical disk includes a data region which may be read by and optical disk reader (CD/CD-ROM/DVD reader). Ticket/pass information as well as anti-counterfeit feature may be provided in a graphics region or in the data region or both. The data region may be provided with audio and/or video data. The data region may also have multimedia presentations which may be presented on a personal computer or through a DVD reader etc. The data region may also have data which is read for gaining access to the event or facility. The graphics region also may have machine readable features such as bar codes. Additionally, most printing techniques may be used in the graphics region to provide information and aesthetic attributes and attributes to avoid counterfeit problems. The cut optical disk includes a standard central opening (of a CD/CD-ROM/DVD type). The data region is provided in a region around the central opening. The data region may be on both sides of the disk. Graphics regions may be provided on both sides of the disk as well. The invention also includes a process for forming the disks and for using passes/tickets.
