    摘要: An electrical machine with a brush commutator arrangement (1) is proposed. Brushes (3) and a commutator (5) are adapted and arranged such that, upon operating the electrical machine (1), the brush (3) and the commutator (5) are displaced relative to each other in a lateral displacement direction (7) and a contact surface (9) of the brush (3) mechanically contacts a contact surface (11) of the commutator (5) along an overlapping area (13) thereby generating an electrical contact. Accordingly, an electric current is transmitted between brush (3) and commutator (5) through the overlapping area (13). An orthogonal electrical conductivity of the brush (3) and/or the commutator (5) in a direction (25) orthogonal to a respective contact surface (9, 11) locally varies along the lateral displacement direction (7). An orthogonal electrical conductivity distribution in the brush (3) and/or the commutator (5) is adapted such that, even when operating the electrical machine at maximum allowable power, for at least 90% of all spatial configurations during displacing the brush (3) and the commutator (5) relative to each other, an electrical current density through the overlapping area (13) does not exceed 130% of a rated maximal average electrical current density through the brush commutator arrangement (1). Due to the specific variation of orthogonal electrical conductivity within the brush (3) or commutator (5), sparking and resulting wear in the proposed brush commutator arrangement (1) may be reduced.

    摘要: The earth's magnetic field has not been mined as a source of energy for electric vehicles. With average field strength of 0.5 Tesla around the world it is easy to understand why it has been overlooked. A disruptive technology is needed to mine the earth's magnetic field for powering electric vehicles. Such a technology, graphene, is now at an early stage of development with excellent properties in the form of high conductivity, low resistivity sheets that are durable, light weight, and low cost. Electrical properties of multiple sheets of graphene provide a significant multiplier to earth's weak magnetic field yielding a feasible source of ecologically clean power for electric vehicles. Graphene based EcoCharge systems can be mounted on a vehicles drive shaft and axles putting graphene in motion to mine the earth's magnetic field. Estimates show that EcoCharge can generate 15.1 kW at 60 mph while weighing only 10 oz.

    摘要: A commutator includes a substantially tubular insulating core, a first slip ring fixed to the core, a plurality of first bars electrically connected to the first slip ring, a second slip ring fixed to the core, and a plurality of second bars electrically connected to the second slip ring. The first bars and the second bars are fixed to the outer surface of the core and are alternately arranged at equally spaced intervals in the circumferential direction of the core. The first slip ring and the second slip ring are arranged on the same side of the first bars and the second bars. The first and second slip rings respectively comprise a contact surface that is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the commutator and is configured for contacting brushes.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a commutator main body which has a cylindrical insulating body, and a plurality of segments arranged in an outer circumference of the insulating body. A short-circuit member is arranged in an end in an axial direction of the insulating body. The short-circuit member has a plurality of first short-circuit pieces and a plurality of second short-circuit pieces. A tabular insulating portion covers first coupling portions of the first short-circuit pieces, and second coupling portions of the second short-circuit pieces. The insulating portion has a restriction recess, and the end in the axial direction has a restriction projection. The restriction projection is engaged with the restriction recess, whereby the movement of the short-circuit member in the circumferential direction with respect to the commutator main body is restricted. Accordingly, the assembly of the short-circuit member in the commutator main body is facilitated.
