Abstract:
A buckle system is provided having a mounting bracket and a mounting clip. The mounting bracket includes a bracket body, a slot and a groove and has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, with the slot and the groove formed in the bracket body. The mounting clip includes a clip body, a latching mechanism and a tongue. The clip body is connected to the latching mechanism by the tongue, which is slid into the groove formed in the bracket body of the mounting bracket such that the latching mechanism is adjacent the first surface of the bracket body and the clip body is adjacent the second surface of the bracket body. A hook of the latching mechanism is received by the slot formed in the bracket body once the tongue of the mounting clip is slideably received into the groove of the mounting bracket.
Abstract:
A belt-like hip-girdling pelvic sling device for maintaining a desired amount of tension surrounding a person's hips and pelvis to securely support and stabilize a fractured pelvis, including a force-controlled buckle that automatically latches to control the tension and that includes a releasable latching mechanism. The latching mechanism maintains engagement of the buckle with a strap at the required position of the strap with respect to the buckle. The latching mechanism includes a movable member of the buckle that is moved to and latched in a position in which the buckle engages the strap, once a desired amount of tension is reached, limiting and maintaining the required tension.
Abstract:
A belt adjustment mechanism incorporated into a belt that allows an individual to adjust the overall length of the belt, which includes a primary component and an adjustable component that slides within the primary component. Both the primary component and the adjustable component have a pair of tracks and number of holes A hook on each side of the belt adjustment mechanism is placed through tracks of both components and a hole on each of the components to temporarily place the adjustable component into a fixed position in relation to the primary component. A belt is attached to both the primary component and the adjustable component, allowing the actual waist size of the belt to be varied slightly.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a buckle that includes a male latch having an improved shape. An object of the present invention is to provide the buckle that includes a projected part formed on a hook of the male latch, where the projected part has three projected surfaces projected from three side surfaces of the arm. The buckle comprises: the male latch including a pair of hooks each of which has three projected surfaces; and a female receptacle coupled to the male latch by holding the projected surfaces formed on the each hook of the male latch, where the male latch is inserted into the female receptacle.
Abstract:
A buckle (10) for a band or the like is disclosed as including a first link (12), a second link (20) and a third link (28), in which an end of the first link (12) is engaged with an end of the second link (20) for relative swiveling movement, and the first link (12) includes a lock plate (32) releasably engageable with a recess (29) of the third link (28) for locking the first link (12), the second link (20) and the third link (28) against relative movement. A watch band secured with such a buckle (10) is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A buckle has a main buckle body with a hollow cavity, means for securing another buckle portion within the main body, and at least two strap securing bars connected to the main body. At lest one of the strap securing bars has a free end, such that the buckle portion can be attached to a strap by sliding an edge of the strap through a space created by the free end and positioning the strap so that the strap is disposed between the strap securing bar and the main body.
Abstract:
An improved security buckle for a wrist watch metal bracelet is disclosed which utilizes a first and second frame work, one mounted within the other, which are provided with a limited amount of relative sliding movement. A spur of the first frame work is in engagement with or is disengaged from a first traverse element of the second frame work when the two frame works are respectively in a first and second relative position. An inflexible removable traverse element is attached to the first frame work and to a first portion of the metal bracelet. A locking band attached to a second portion of the metal bracelet passes under the first traverse and is engageable with the spur when the frame works are in the second relative position and further passes through a space defined by the inflexible removable traverse element and a second traverse element on the first frame work when the frame works are in the first relative position. The second frame work includes a traverse portion engaging with the inflexible removable traverse element for locking the second frame work in the first relative position when the locking band is within the defined space. A protection plate may be provided to protect a users wrist from marks left by the buckle.
