摘要： A wide pick-up of a large round baler is mounted for floating or pivoting vertically about the axis of rotation of a rotary secondary conveyor that includes a pair of centering augers at its opposite ends. Provided at each side of the pick-up is a float spring assembly including a coil tension spring and an L-shaped link. Each coil tension spring has its upper end coupled to the baler main frame by a bracket receiving a rod joined to a spring end retainer, and has its lower end defined by a hook which is received in a hole provided in an upper end of the L-shaped link. The lower end of the link is defined by a short leg which projects forwardly beneath lower rear structure of the pick-up frame and contains a kidney-shaped aperture in which a cylindrical coupler is received, the coupler being fixed to a side member of the pick-up frame. The side members of the pick-up frame extend upward and rearward beside respective inner ends of the centering augers and respectively carry the coupling which pivotally mounts the pick-up frame for pivoting about the axis of rotation of the secondary conveyor. A pan structure includes separate front and rear sections with a lower rear portion of the front section forming a gap with the rear section and being oriented so that it retains small crop pieces during normal operation and so that crop pieces slide through and water drains through the gap when the pick-up is in its raised transport position.

摘要： The access plate comprises a curved oblong plate for covering an oblong access opening in a cylindrical auger tube. When the access plate is mounted to the auger tube, the concave inner surface of the access plate adjoins the cylindrical exterior surface of the auger tube. The access plate has a first side that is provided with an inwardly indented offset portion. The offset portion traps the cylindrical auger tube. The access plate has an opposed second side that is provided with a clamping plate that adjoins the inner surface of the access plate. The clamping plate has two clamping plate mounting holes each having a clip nut. The clamping plate mounting holes are aligned with two access plate mounting holes. Mounting bolts extend through the access plate mounting holes and engage the clip nuts on the clamping plate.

摘要： An improved windrow pickup attachment for a forage harvester having a mechanism for processing crop materials including an input opening for receiving crop material. The attachment includes a main frame positioned on the front of the forage harvester adjacent the input opening. A transverse reel assembly and an auger conveyor are mounted on the main frame for picking up crop material from the ground, consolidating it and conveying it to the forage harvester base unit via the input opening. A ground gauging roller assembly supports the attachment to protect the reel during operation over uneven terrain. The assembly is adjustably mounted relative to the main frame.

摘要： An agricultural harvesting machine, such as a baler, is provided with a pick-up assembly and a feeder mechanism for picking up crop material from a field and feeding it to the inlet of a baling chamber. A crop retainer mechanism, such as a windguard, are mounted above the feeder mechanism for engaging the upper portion of said crop material whilst it is being fed to said inlet. The retainer mechanism is movable between a lower position assumed when no crop material is present on said crop intake apparatus and an upper position when a considerable amount of crop material is present on said crop intake apparatus. The harvesting machine is also provided with a dampening mechanism for damping the motion of said crop retainer mechanism. Advantageously, the motion is damped by a pair of gas springs mounted to the transverse rod of the windguard. This arrangement precludes sudden movements of the windguard and ensures a regular flow of the picked up material to the baling chamber.
