摘要： Hydrofoil fishing lure apparatus for use with trolling techniques behind a boat. In one embodiment, the hydrofoil fishing lure apparatus includes an artificial lure having a body. A hydrofoil that includes a strut and a lifting surface, with the strut for the hydrofoil being attached to the body of the artificial lure is also included. In some variants, the artificial lure may be modeled after flying fish species. Wing retraction elements may be utilized on the hydrofoil to retract or expand the wings of the flying fish to provide for a more natural presentation. Other variants described herein include fishing lure platforms that include a hydrofoil that allow for the mounting of frozen, live, or other types of artificial baits on the hydrofoil itself.

摘要： One aspect of the disclosure includes a float fishing apparatus having an elongated connecting member and a float. The float has a body portion with a forward end and a rearward end. The body portion has an opening extending therethrough with the connecting member passing slidably through the opening. The body portion is rotatably mounted on the connecting member. The float has a fin member extending from the body portion. The fin member has a leading edge and a spaced trailing edge with a pressure surface extending therebetween. The pressure surface of the fin member responds to water pressure when the float is moved through water to rotate the float and intermittently splash the water. In some forms the fin member extends around only a portion of the body portion of the float such that the float has an asymmetrical shape.

摘要： Various planer boards are provided that include a body having a tapered leading end, a guiding assembly located at a trailing end of the body, and a gripping assembly extending away from a front surface of the body. The planer boards may be securely attached to a fishing line via the guiding assembly and the gripping assembly in order to bias the line to one side when the planer board is moved through water. To allow a user quickly and easily attach/remove a fishing line, the planer board may include a single-release actuator that opens only the gripping assembly and a dual-release actuator that simultaneously releases both the guiding assembly and the gripping assembly.

摘要： The inventors disclose and teach herein a device that quickly and reliably attaches rigging to a fishing line, especially trolling lines. The device includes a spring-loaded clip with means for attaching additional accessories to the clip, such as weights. Accordingly, in the context of trolling, a trolling depth can be set and readjusted rapidly simply by clipping different weights onto the line. Moreover, the clip includes a side-opening for receiving a fishing line in compression between a spring-loaded plunger and anvil. The line is further secured by an embossed retainer blocking the line from slipping out from between the plunger and anvil.
