摘要: The present invention relates to a sole structure of an athletic shoe and its object is to effectively absorb a shock applied to a shoe heel portion directly after landing and to prevent pronation or supination after landing. The sole structure of the athletic shoe according to the present invention includes an upper midsole (3a) that is formed of a soft elastic material and that extends from the heel portion to a forefoot portion of a shoe through a midfoot portion, a lower midsole (3b) that is formed of a soft elastic material and that is disposed at least at the heel portion under the upper midsole (3a), a wavy plate (4) that is inserted between the upper and lower midsoles (3a, 3b) and that has a wavy corrugation at least at the heel portion, which progresses from the rear end side of the heel portion to the midfoot portion, an outsole (5) fitted to the bottom surface of the lower midsole (3b), and a shock absorbing member (7) provided at a heel strike region of the heel portion between the wavy plate (4) and the outsole (5).

摘要: A welted shoe includes an insole disposed within an upper. A welt member underlies a lower peripheral edge portion of the upper and together with a peripheral portion of the insole to form a sandwiched structure which is fastened by uprightly extending fastening members, such as stitches and rivets, to form a sub-assembly. An outsole is molded with the sub-assembly to form an outsole body underlying the welt member and a central portion of the insole, and a surrounding seal wall extending uprightly to surround completely the welt member and sealingly abutting against the upper to provide a good waterproofing effect.

摘要: The invention is an article of footwear having a sole comprised of one or more support elements formed of a resilient, compressible material. The support elements are designed such that impact forces generated by movements of a wearer deflect the support elements in a manner that produces a force directed to center the wearer's foot above the sole. The directed deflection characteristics of the support elements are due to a downward cant of the support elements' upper surfaces and flexion indentations that facilitate bending in one direction.

摘要: A structure for ventilating a toe region of a shoe includes a body including in its heel zone two major walls and a resilient element having a multitude of voids arranged in a pumping chamber to urge the two walls apart against the action of external forces tending to draw air into the chamber. The resilient element includes a plurality of substantially dome-shaped hollow protuberances bounding respective first and second voids within and outside of them, respectively, and connecting portions that interconnect the protuberances. Respective connecting channels are provided in the connecting portions and in respective adjacent regions of the protuberances to establish communication between the first voids. A corrugated insert within the body aids ventilation and shock absorption. An extension on the body optimizes air transfer.

摘要: A walking shoe. According to one aspect of the present invention, a walking shoe includes a segmented midsole with a thickness that changes from back to front. The midsole includes a back portion and an arcuate front portion. The arcuate front portion interfaces with the back portion and includes a plurality of forward sections. At least one of the forward sections differs in density relative to another of the forward sections. Relatively denser forward sections facilitate a rebound or spring effect as a walker pushes off during a walking stride. Relatively less dense forward sections add cushioning, making the walking stride more comfortable by lessening impact to the walker's foot.

摘要: A construction for a shoe, particularly an athletic shoe such as a running shoe, includes a sole that is constructed according to the applicant's prior invention of a theoretically ideal stability plane. Such a shoe sole according to that prior invention conforms to the natural shape of the foot, particularly the sides, and that has a constant thickness in frontal plane cross sections; the thickness of the shoe sole sides contour equals and therefore varies exactly as the thickness of the load-bearing sole portion. The new invention relates to the use of the theoretically ideal stability plane concept to provide natural stability in negative heel shoe soles that are less thick in the heel area than in the rest of the shoe sole. This new invention also relates to the use of the theoretically ideal stability plane concept to provide natural stability in flat shoe soles that have no heel lift, maintaining the same thickness throughout; such a design avoids excessive structural rigidity by using contoured stability sides abbreviated to only essential structural support elements to provide the shoe sole with natural flexibility paralleling that of the human foot. The abbreviation of essential structural support elements can also be applied to negative heel shoe soles, again to avoid excessive rigidity and to provide natural flexibility.
