摘要： A double-bow shoe lace device includes a shoe lace, two loop assemblies, and a clamp member. The shoe lace has a first lace segment forming a criss-cross pattern on eyelet tabs of a shoe, and a second lace segment that includes first and second lace portions. Each lace portion has a lower section connected to the first lace segment. Each loop assembly includes a loop segment connected to an upper section of a respective one of the lace portions, and a distal lace segment. The clamp member is sleeved slidably on the loop assemblies. Downward and upward movements of the clamp member along the loop assemblies result in tightening and loosening of the shoe.

摘要： A lacing aid which assists in lacing two elements tightly together comprises a first open portion that is easily threaded and engages a lace with reduced friction, and a second portion for frictional restraint of the threaded lace. Such lacing aids of the invention may be formed by bending smooth and stiff but resilient wire to form a first portion providing an opening larger than a lace with smooth inner walls, permitting the lace to slip easily when it is being tightened, and a second lace-restraining portion formed adjacent to the first portion to which a tightened lace may be easily slipped and engaged. An eyelet-connecting structure that may be used to fasten a lacing aid to a substrate element can be formed by two legs projecting from a junction, with one of the legs including a sleeve for rotatably carrying a first portion of the lacing aid and with the distal ends of the legs providing structure, such as a pair of mating fasteners, for fastening the lacing aid to a substrate, one mate being carried by each of the legs. Detent-forming structure adjacent the sleeve can hold the eyelet being carried so it extends upwardly and away from the leg. Such a connecting structure can comprise thin sheet steel bent into a U-shape, with one of the legs of the U being stamped to form notch-like portions and bent adjacent the notch-like portions to form a sleeve sized to engage the first portion of the lacing aid with a snap-fit so the first portion of a lacing aid is captively, but rotatably, carried by the U-shaped clip and can be held in the notch-like portions upwardly away from the connecting structure for easy threading.

Each of a pair of clamp members has a pivot portion pivotally retained in the housing, and a clamping portion that extends from the pivot portion and that has an inclined end face. The clamping portions are movable toward each other from a releasing position to a clamping position, where the inclined end faces cooperate to form a diverging clamping space that is communicated with the string inlet hole. Stop blocks on the inclined end faces limit movement of the clamping portions from the releasing position to the clamping position. An operating unit is connected to the clamp members, and is operable for moving the clamping portions from the clamping position to the releasing position.

The four ends of a standard bow-tie knot (two loops and two loose ends) are gathered together in a stalk-like shape, and encircled snugly with an adjustable restraining material, which can then be anchored to the shoe to prevent the knot stalk from flopping around or getting snagged on environmental materials (e.g., branches, twigs, weeds, etc.). Referred to herein as a “lace lasso,” the device is light-weight, simple, and rapidly installed and attached to simple and common shoelace knots. The restraining material can be chord, elastic material, or fabric; adjustment in snugness and tension can be accomplished by small spring-loaded ripstop cylinders commonly used in camping gear, or Velcro fabric strips. The device can be attached to the shoe by caribiner-type clips or Velcro fabric strips which are connected to the restraining material wrapped around the ends of the shoelace knot. Extra lace lasso units can be used as holding devices for keys and other small items that a runner may want to carry with him/her, but cannot because running gear may not have pockets.

摘要： A shoelace locking apparatus. The apparatus comprises a body attachable to a first end of a shoelace and a cup. The body defines a laterally opening locking passage therein for receiving a second end of the shoelace. The cup may be integral with the body or with a separate extension component. By tying a knot in a desired location in the second end of the shoelace and stretching the lace, the second end of the lace may be moved into an engaged position in which tension in the stretched lace tends to maintain the knot in the cup. The apparatus may also comprise a lock attachable to the second end of the shoelace such that the lock is also positioned in the cup and rotatable to a locking position preventing undesired longitudinal movement of the lock and shoelace.
