摘要： A buckle assembly is formed by a male portion, a female portion and a rotor. The male portion has a base body, and at least one locking leg having a first latching element. The female portion has a base body with an interior cavity and at least one guide slot. The rotor is seated in the interior cavity and has an actuation surface, a second latching element for engagement with the first latching element, and an actuating mechanism that orients the rotor in a locked position in a resting state of the buckle assembly. The male portion is locked to the female portion by inserting the locking leg into guide slot until the first latching element engages the second latching element. The male portion is released from the female portion by pressing the actuation surface to rotate the rotor until the latching elements are disengaged from each other.

摘要： The double-sided belt buckle includes a chape member, a frame, a prong, and a loop element. The chape member includes a hinge element, a first side, and a second side. The hinge element and the frame are pivotally joined together. The prong is pivotally joined to the frame for running through a hole along another end of the strap. A user may choose to use the first or second side of the chape member as the outward facing side. The prong then may be pushed so that the prong may freely swivel within the frame. After releasing the prong, the prong may be applied to fasten a strap of the belt buckle corresponding to the outward facing side, thereby enhancing the flexibility of the belt buckle.

摘要： The buckle is made up of a frame, clasp and restriction bar. A prong protrudes from the backside of the frame to engage a hole in one end of the belt strap and the clasp releaseably connects the buckle to the opposite end. The clasp has a pair of fingers at one end and a pair of arms that extend to a joint at the opposite end. When the buckle is connected to the belt, the clasp and restriction bar engage one another. The clasp is biased towards a reduced angle by the restriction bar with the fingers situated within a loop at the end of the belt. Conversely, when the clasp disengages the restriction bar, the fingers separate as the joint biases the arms apart and the space between the fingers widens allowing the fingers to slide out of the loop and separate the buckle from the belt.

摘要： A tourniquet for application to a patient's limb in an emergency situation, and a method for its application. The tourniquet includes a tension-sensing mechanism used to establish a baseline tension in a loop around an injured limb, and a tension-increasing mechanism to reduce the circumference of the loop and tighten the tourniquet as required beyond the baseline tension. The tension-sensing mechanism may be incorporated in a buckle in which when sufficient tension is developed in the loop a pin protrudes to engage and maintain tension in a strap member which is part of the loop. A latch may be incorporated in the buckle to keep it in a condition in which the pin protrudes to engage the strap and maintain the baseline tension. A release tab operable to release the latch is located where it is protected against inadvertent operation.
