摘要： A hair setter apparatus generally includes a housing and a heater assembly having a first heat delivery rail and a second heat delivery rail mounted in the housing in spaced parallel relationship to each other. The apparatus further includes a plurality of hair setters. Each of the hair setters has a central body with opposing web plates spaced from each other to define a mounting slot extending longitudinally of the hair setter and configured to slidably couple the hair setter to one of the heat delivery rails along a longitudinal edge of one of the heat delivery rails. The hair setter is sized relative to the insert opening for insertion of the hair setter through an insert opening and onto the respective one of the heat delivery rails within the interior space of the housing.

摘要： In a hair setter apparatus, a heater assembly is enclosed within a housing. The heater assembly has a longitudinal heat delivery rail mounted in the housing and having a longitudinal axis. The longitudinal heat delivery rail includes a groove extending longitudinally along at least part of the heat delivery rail. A corresponding hair setter has a central body having opposing web plates spaced from each other to define a mounting slot extending longitudinally of the hair setter. The mounting slot is configured to engage the groove of the heat delivery rail upon mounting the hair setter thereon to slidably couple the hair setter to the heat delivery rail for sliding movement longitudinally of heat delivery rail while inhibiting decoupling of the hair setter from the heat delivery rail in a direction transverse to the rail.

摘要： A heater unit for heating flexible hair roller curlers includes two spaced pairs of side-by-side, elongated juxtaposed heat transmitting plates. The two plates of each pair are connected to each other in heat transmitting relationship to form a closed heat transmitting path and are so shaped and configured to form a plurality of individual hair curler receiving pockets therebetween. An electric heating element is positioned in the space between the two pairs of plates in heat conductive contact with the confronting plates thereof. The width of the plates is less than the length of the curlers so that the opposite ends thereof extend beyond the edges of the plates and are thus not heated thereby.

摘要： A hair curler set for heating hair curling rollers includes a case accommodating a plurality of cylindrical hair curler rollers arranged in horizontal or slightly inclined parallel alignment and positioned in a row to one or both sides of an elongated heater body containing an electric resistance heater and having its longitudinal axis disposed substantially horizontally and parallel to one side of the case. The case includes cradles for positioning each of the rollers in perpendicular coaxial alignment with a respective one of a plurality of spaced apart horizontally disposed heat transfer portions on the heater body. Each roller has a metallic bottom end shaped to cooperate with the heat transfer portion of the heater body to provide a large heat transfer contact area therebetween. The case and rollers are designed so that the rollers, when positioned in the cradles, have their bottom ends elastically urged into heat-conductive contact with the heat transfer portions of the heater body.

摘要： A heater and holder for soft roller hair curlers includes a base having an openable top cover providing access to a shelf provided with at least one row of spaced holes of a size of to admit a hair curler. Each hole is aligned with an open-ended heat conductive metallic tube extending through a heat conductive metallic plate positioned below the shelf and having spaced top and lower panels with a first section of the tube extending upwardly from the top panel in alignment with the hole and a second section extending downwardly from the lower panel. A flexible electric heating element positioned in the space between the panels in a sinuous pattern heats the tubes and the curler inserted therein. The length of the tube is less than the length of the roller curler so that the opposite ends of the curlers are not heated so as to remain relatively cool whereby the heated curler can be easily handled.

摘要： A heatable hair roller for use in combination with a heating unit, the heatable hair roller being formed of a tubular body having an alloy therein with a predetermined Curie temperature, an electrical heating element in heat transfer relation with the alloy and having contacts at opposite ends of the tubular body and apertures in the tubular body at the opposite ends aligned with the contacts, and the heating unit including a ramp having a heating position, a permanent magnet carried by the ramp at the heating position for magnetically holding a hair roller to be heated thereat and a pair of electrical contacts disposed on opposite sides of the ramp at the heating position and protruding from the ramp to be received in the apertures of a hair roller to be heated to provide electricity to the exposed contacts in the hair roller. The permanent magnet holds a hair roller to be heated at the heating position on the ramp until the alloy within the hair roller reaches the predetermined Curie temperature at which time the hair roller is released to roll down the ramp.

摘要： An electrically heated hairsetter wherein a plurality of solid, plastic, hair curlers are heated over a plurality of posts; each curler adapted to fit intimately over the post of the appropriate diameter. The posts are part of the casting which includes an electric heated element in its base, and which is cast therewithin in a single casting operation. The base of the heater element portion is configured to fit beneath the top panel of the hairsetter cabinet by cooperating with legs beneath the top panel in a relative sideways motion relationship, with provision for driving a locking pin so as to hold the heater element portion and top panel fitted together. A thermostatically controlled state-of-temperature indicator is mounted within the cabinet of the hairsetter and is of an appropriate material so as to approximate the heating characteristic of the curlers placed over the posts, and closes a switch at a predetermined setting to provide an indication that the hair curlers are ready for use.
