摘要： A system for interchanging ornamental sticks and their decorative portions is disclosed. The ornamental sticks may be used as hair sticks or chop sticks. The decorative portions of the ornamental sticks are easily and readily interchanged with the structural support sticks to create many different designs. These designs may be quickly changed because of the unique retention mechanism utilized. For example, the retention mechanism may utilize threaded components or magnets to retain the decorative portions on the structural support sticks.

摘要： A hair clip includes a low profile clip mechanism which translates linear pressure on the ends of the clip into rotational action for opening the curved comb moldings. Springs cause the clip to close when pressure on the clip ends is removed. The barrel of the clip may comprise sections which are fixed with respect to the clip ends and sections which are attached to the comb moldings, and which are rotated by the clip mechanism. Or, the barrel may comprise alternating sections attached to each comb molding. Removable decorative attachments attach to the fixed portions of the barrel of the clip, via magnets, snap on grips, velcro.TM. or the like.

摘要： A hair forming device for arranging a pony tail or braid. The device comprises a series of rings disposed serially, and overlapping one another just enough to form a junction connecting adjacent rings. The rings may be arranged linearly, or in a matrix forming two series of rings abreast of one another. Teeth project outwardly from the rings, preferably located at the junctions between adjacent rings. The device is essentially planar, although having a nominal material thickness. Hair is preferably divided into two braids, each braid being passed through each ring. The novel device secures the braids in this manner, and is worn as long as the hair style thus achieved is maintained.

摘要： A spiral or helical structure for retaining hair or hair-like strands is constructed from one or more rigid, semi-rigid, and/or flexible materials. Rigid or substantially rigid portions of the structure can be inter-spaced with flexible portions of similar spiral or helical structures to accommodate the ability to create desired bends, curves and/or curls. Elastomeric bands can be employed to secure the spiral or helical structures to hair strands, to other spiral or helical structures and/or other hair retention devices. Applying hair dye/stain to bundled hair within the spiral or helical structures provides an ability to “tie dye” hair strand bundles to create desired highlighting and/or hair coloring. The spiral or helical structure can be made of hollow or partially hollow material. Decorative items can be attached or interconnected to the various embodiments of the present invention. In a separate embodiment, an interior component is coupled with an outer component.
